Meanwhile 19-year-old American/Canadian/Spanish rider Ashlin Barry wins the U23 world championship for Team USA! The U23 race is a bit of a misnomer considering there are 19 U23 cyclists riding in the men's elite race, all of whom would probably beat Barry, but still a good win for USA
