I've long considered Dalek Invasion of Earth my favourite Dalek story... and also my favourite Hartnell story. But the more I see of Daleks' Master Plan, the more I think that story could eclipse it. Something to ponder! Either way, both on my DW Top 10!

The decline in IMDB ratings for this season does suggest to me that one (maybe two) experimental episodes in a season is fine, but 4 in a run of 5 was too much for too many (myself included, sadly). FWIW I would have Human Best Friend down as my 2nd least favourite ep of Trek!

This was an interesting listen from @toohot4tv.bsky.social, but mostly confirmed my few that the Valeyard is maybe an interesting concept, but not actually a very interesting character. Also, Dylan's plot summary of Trial of the Valeyard had be chuckling in great amusement at how wanky it sounded!

When listening to @pulltoopen.bsky.social's ep on Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror, I was as surprised as they were to remember that there was an alien monster in this ep! Is this a key fault of the Whitaker era generally? Some interesting thoughts!
