Thanks! Really appreciate the translations. It’s Cool to hear any perspective of Barkley. They have quite the contingent there now. I remember watching through 1 or 2 French documentaries in the past and not understanding any of it but then randomly finding a still frame of a full course map haha.

Thanks for the rundown and the ping! Some great stuff here. Mathieu’s claim about the distance of 25 miles and 15k feet of gain line up exactly with my map/guess of the 2025 course (see the chart I posted on Sat AM) and supports the claim from Damian that the course was the same as last year #bm100

Whenever I’ve been asked before about how I know certain things about the course, I always say when runners talk about being able to find out everything about the race if you spend the time/effort and know where to look, they aren’t lying.

With the continued mentions of wild pigs, my theory is that Raichon thought one of the books was in a cave, they all went in to look, and some sort of #BM100 Lord of the Flies scenario ensued. Lots of confirmed names and IDs in Laz's post too. But mainly I care about the stories at this point 😆

THANK YOU for the ping here. The 2 climbs added in 2025 are what made the last 2 years so brutal. If testicle spectacle is back like Jared said and the number of climbs stayed at 9, that really narrows down what was removed. And paints a clearer picture of the distance and elevation of a loop

I understand why changes were made. But I miss getting a 3rd day of the excitement and suspense that comes with tracking the Barkley and getting to cheer for runners through loops 4 and 5. Also you’re probably right. There are videos from the pre race meeting about the camp social media blackout last year where Laz says they have a team closely monitoring social media posts to make sure people in camp aren’t leaking info they don’t want out.

It’s been 3 hours and 20 minutes since Sèbastein was seen at the fire tower and he is still not back at camp yet. Damian Hall has 3 hours and 10 minutes to get back to camp for a fun run and there has been no word of him reaching the fire tower yet. Seb had daylight too 😬 #BM100
