With the continued mentions of wild pigs, my theory is that Raichon thought one of the books was in a cave, they all went in to look, and some sort of #BM100 Lord of the Flies scenario ensued. Lots of confirmed names and IDs in Laz's post too. But mainly I care about the stories at this point 😆

I understand why changes were made. But I miss getting a 3rd day of the excitement and suspense that comes with tracking the Barkley and getting to cheer for runners through loops 4 and 5. Also the realization that the internet’s best sporting event has been cut short by 33% the last 2 years #bm100

It’s been 3 hours and 20 minutes since Sèbastein was seen at the fire tower and he is still not back at camp yet. Damian Hall has 3 hours and 10 minutes to get back to camp for a fun run and there has been no word of him reaching the fire tower yet. Seb had daylight too 😬 #BM100

My initial tracking of my guess for the 2026 course is 2 miles longer and 1k ft more elevation per loop than the already brutal 2025. Will have to look a little closer at the extremely limited info I have in the morning because that can’t be right. Especially with more loop 1 finishes. #BM100

A little look at the beast of a course from Barkley 2025. The new sections: ball bearing hill, is by Barkley standards not too bad at 1350ft climbed in 1 mile. Maybe more crazy is the new 1st descent that drops 1500ft in 0.8miles. Also I was wrong, the 1st climb hasn't changed #BM100

From Sébastien’s report: There were 16 books this year, the most ever. Ratjaw is still only climbed in CCW loops. 2 big climbs were added, one is ball bearing hill, the other is probably a previously removed one brought back. #bm100

This is interesting stuff. If the course is actually 15% longer and more elevation, using 2024’s numbers that would put the 2025 course at roughly 26.5 miles and 14,700ft a loop. By far the toughest course on paper ever #BM100 Also definitely felt much more silence from camp than usual.
