📺 Make Votes Matter in the news 📺 Our CEO @emmacampaigner.bsky.social appeared today on the BBC's Sunday Morning Live, alongside Sir John Curtice and Lord Robert Hayward. We deserve better than this broken voting system that leaves millions of people ignored. It's time for PR 💪

It's massively disappointing and a roadblock that seems to keep happening. This will and needs to go through, meanwhile there are real people going through prolonged unnecessary suffering. And the kicker is that palliative care still isn't being improved in the meantime

It's hard to squeeze even a crumb of comfort out of this MIT assessment. At least we're all becoming aware now. I don't know how on Earth humanity can come together but this will be the challenge of our lives.

My cousin’s shirt took me a second. He said “it’s great because anyone who would be offended by it couldn’t understand it anyway.”

Fluorine

Carbon
Potassium
Titanium
Rubidium

Sigh Corruption is endemic. You have a moment of hope that there's a new PM who really could do the right thing for the country and almost immediately. This is a massive mistake by Burnham. Massive.

Maybe, but they need to wise up fast and LEAD the progressive alliance. That includes not being total dickheads to the Green party (who are not the enemy). I'm so tired of Starmer's short sightedness in this respect. Labour cannot beat Reform on their own nor with FPTP

If Trump’s concern was drugs, he’d not have pardoned Honduras’s corrupt leader; if terrorism, he’d have gone after Iran; if world order, Russia; if preserving US power, China. If democracy, human rights or humanitarian motive, dozens of other worthy cases. What’s left is oil. And Epstein.

It's not been tried Carole that's the point. Legalisation is sensible, practical and has great advantages. It makes it a public health issue, it stops the supply chain model currently run by criminals (and other problems like county lines), it doesn't criminalise so addicts can rebuild their lives

I agree with a lot of what you say but there's nothing here. We should be able to choose how we go from this world. That is our right and yes we will all have different opinions on this but it's not something to politicise. Cheap point.

This is from my friend, Nabil, in Gaza today. He says there is NO food left. He has never sounded so in despair. Israel is carrying out war crimes; violating international humanitarian law; inflicting collective punishment on a captive people; trying to starve them into submission. It’s obscene.

Incredibly depressing day. I've spent my entire life being told by British governments how dreadful immigration is. New Labour did it. The Coalition. The Brexiters. Now Starmer. All of them accusing the ones who came before them of failing to clamp down. The same old vacant mean-spirited bollocks.
