I'm not even going to pretend no one thought of this first (I'm sure they have), and it's not even the first Florence design on my list, but it was the quickest to do, so here you go. disasterapparel.teemill.com/product/flor...

Like, she almost always came out looking like a renaissance painting...
Cassandra as a kitten sat up on a red cushion with a background of blankets and cushions. The light is hitting her from the left as she looks off camera. The whole thing could be a Rembrandt.

DaveDisaster @davedisasterman.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
She was SO photogenic...
Cassandra, around a year old and looking VERY growed up, stares ominously directly at the camera, a third of her face obscured by the edge of a richly carved antique chair.

Cassandra, who was taken far too soon, doing her impression of Truth Coming Out Of Her Well To Scourge Humanity.
Another adorable kitten, this one white with corpsepaint markings, pops out from behind the sofa, with bookshelves in the background, to stare intently at you.

"Thomas Parnell’s experiment demonstrates that pitch can flow despite appearing solid. Only nine drops have fallen since 1930, and the tenth could fall between late 2027 and early 2028, after years of formation inside apparatus."
Photo shows the apparatus with a droplet of pitch "about" to fall sometimes in the next couple of years, probably.

Ok, sure, 100% consistent.

Seems... a little inconsistent, perhaps.

I'm wondering what effect employment discrimination law has had on visibility of disabled people and their ability to buy funky clothes, hair dye and cool mobility aids? (Crafting and customising too - the materials to do these things are hella expensive these days - ask me how I know...)

Incroyable!
Further down the thread same poster asks "Well kind of but why…they behave differently from traditional old money/aristocracy eg. How would you explore the difference?"

Buddy, with few exceptions, the difference is hiding it and getting away with it.

Also may be worth looking into a laser cutter, that's what I use for my stencils. Slightly more safety concerns with them tho, and they do take up a bit of room.

I remember* when people would dunk on me for continuing to shit on Microsoft cos "they've changed". Microsoft have done absolutely nothing to disavow the reasons for my cynicism, ever, bar the most obvious fig leaves, and this is not the greatest foul, but fucking HELL, this is just embarrassing...
View of about 17 emails in gmail's socials tab. All are from LinkedIn, three are related to connections who are hiring (two of which actually name the same person twice, cos, why the fuck not, hey?), every other one is about some fucking game/puzzle, like Facebook tried and flopped at fucking years ago.

It's just fucking pathetic.

Screen shot from the episode. Manousos is about to cross the Darien. The collective try to dissuade him.

He then sets fire to his beloved car to prove his determination.

Just finished the excellent The Forest Brotherhood by @dankaszeta.bsky.social Dan manages a dispassionate review of many years of traumatic history through archival research, rife with tragedy but also hope. It will sit proudly next to Dan's book Toxic - also highly recommended.
Cover of the hardback edition. Of The Forest Brotherhood by Dan Kaszeta, featuring a B&W photograph of group of partisans, unsurprisingly in a forest.
