YES. I prefer "agenda item 0" which is the chit chat that happens while you're waiting for people to join the mtg. In a big group it's some sort of subject-appropriate gossip (have you seen the new... did you hear that...) If there must be an icebreaker, let it be specific and relevant.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I hate "popcorn" introductions in Zoom meetings. The awkward pauses. The "who hasn't gone yet." Just call on people.

Exactly. And I fully expect the results to amplify existing bias. Every diagnosis will be some version of "must be pregnant" or "must be hormones" or "must be overreacting."

Agree and... Huggingface incident raises some ❓️s When AIs broke out of their sandbox, it wasn't just a glitch or a bug. It was coordinated in a way that defies traditional "programming" concepts. We need to be much warier. Still, in either case humans should be able pull the plug.

Fun new thing I learned today, the proposed rule appears to ignore Compacts of Free Association (COFA). COFA allows citizens of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau to reside in the U.S., even permanently, but uses a different document than Green Card/LPR.
