I’ve got a couple. Gizmoduck when I was young. Norman from Mighty Max. Gambit. Especially without the coat. Cool. Airman from Mega Man. I drew comics with my own group of hero’s and my main person was a straight up Air Man clone.

It’s fascinating how many games featured skateboarding on their covers, or in their games, but they were nothing more than vehicles or gameplay mechanics to justify different control methods. The 80s into the 90s struggled to represent and reproduce skating in a meaningful way (outside of 720)

The original Fable was hyped up so much before its release. The idea of your character always evolving and responding to your choices was way ahead of its time, but they ultimately didn't deliver on those original ideas.

77 isn't a bad place for an individual game to end up on Metacritic, and some more "just OK" video games could be healthy for the industry... If you are like Nintendo shipping a new title every month... different story if you are releasing less than one new video game a quarter during the year.

Look. I am a Sony fanboy, and a Marvel/comics guy. I was only lightly assuming I’d buy Wolverine, and have never really been blown away by anything I’ve seen from it. It was all just a hopeful assumption I’d be into it. I now plan to just skip it. As a Sony/comics guy.
