darkveracity.bsky.social @darkveracity.bsky.social · 17/06/2026Yeah! And critically the horror can still exist in a world where Shion loves him and would never hurt him and isn't lying to him. It's the possibility of her doing those things, the fear that she might have already done them, the growing doubts and inability to verify that lead to horror 110
darkveracity.bsky.social @darkveracity.bsky.social · 17/06/2026The niggling doubts... the growing sense of unease and distrust... the fear of the person you rely on.... I'm thinking about Hisui route here and how Shiki spends half of it dying in bed terrified of his family gradually losing his mind 110
darkveracity.bsky.social @darkveracity.bsky.social · 17/06/2026Wait WHAT IF. Satoshi keeps asking after Satoko and Shion keeps making all of these excuses for where she is but she doesn't come to see him and it gradually becomes clear that either Shion is refusing to tell Satoko where Satoshi is or something has happened to her and Shion is lying about it 110
darkveracity.bsky.social @darkveracity.bsky.social · 17/06/2026What if you say no to her. Will she stop being nice? Will she use her almost total control over you to hurt you? She talks about her violent fantasies, about her family being rich and powerful and criminal, about how much she's doing for your sister. She doesn't even need to make the threat 110
darkveracity.bsky.social @darkveracity.bsky.social · 17/06/2026She's nice about it.... That might be the scariest part honestly! I think there's some really potent horror in being heavily disabled, trapped in bed, almost totally reliant on other people to function, and the girl who's taking care of you is so so so nice about it and *wants* things from you 110
darkveracity.bsky.social @darkveracity.bsky.social · 17/06/2026Shion: I thought my family murdered you :) Shion: So I constantly fantasized about killing them :) Shion: But then I started talking to your ghost so I wasn't lonely anymore :) Shion: And then I found out you were actually in a coma all along~! :) Shion: When do you want to get married~? :) :) :) 110
