finally watched obsession and it’s basically like if someone made a movie based on futuresoon’s “you’ve got me seeing through different eyes” on one hand i am extremely shuake-pilled but that fic IS phenomenal so of course it lives in my head rent-free

this may be a hot take but i am so tired of western people trying to diagnose characters in non-western media with the DSM-V. i mean you can headcanon whatever you want but sometimes people are just people and sometimes (scratch that—*most* the time) cultural context matters

barista at this cafe is playing a metal playlist and while i personally love it, i question this choice bc a diff barista here likes to play classical music instead & the vibe of this cafe is not suited for metal lmao (omg they changed the music AS I WAS TYPIGN THIS someone must’ve complained)

another entry for @mspyourheartout.bsky.social, this time featuring established-relationship shuake! once again thanks to stealthnoodle's chat generator QRP-ed below bsky.app/profile/stea...

A Persona 5-style chat screen depicting Akechi telling Joker, "Sakamoto calls you Ren-ren. It irks me," to which Joker replies, "you jealous, goro-goro? omg wait. tackles you with a hug that sends us both rolling. goro-goro-goro-goro." The conversation ends with an error message that reads, "The number you are trying to reach is not available," indicating that Akechi has blocked Joker.

an entry for @mspyourheartout.bsky.social! saw the haiku suggestion on the carrd & also saw @stealthnoodle.bsky.social's P5 chat generator (below), so i thought, what if akechi texts himself shuake haikus? bsky.app/profile/stea...

A Persona 5-style chat screen depicting Akechi texting himself a haiku that reads "electricity / sparks from steel-grey eyes piercing / my tin man casing." Alibaba replies with "lmao pathetic," to which Akechi responds, "Who are you, and how are you seeing this? I am texting myself, after all."

I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling. They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.

A screenshot of an email viewed in dark mode with the subject line "Google DMCA Violation." The email from Google informs the recipient that they have received a notification under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) that some of their materials allegedly infringe on copyrights. It explains the removal process, mentions that notice details will be posted on Lumen, warns against repeated violations, and lists one affected Google Drive URL at the bottom

A nearly identical mobile browser screenshot of the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. It shows a search for the same Amnesty International UK resources URL, resulting in the same message: "This URL has been excluded from the Wayback Machine."

Know that libraries count things. How many people have cards, how many times a book or DVD or CD is checked out, etc. And then we take those numbers to our internal staff and say "look, people want this" to justify purchases, and then to local govts to say "look, we need to stay open".
