This is still terrifying footage for anyone working in the sprinting full-tilt into a wall industry.

I really hate social media posts making a particular virtue out of reading books. I love books, but that does not make me a superior person, or some kind of intellectual.

‘New Rose by The Damned is often said to be the first punk single, but Ubu’s debut preceded that by almost a year, and the first releases by Joy Division, Wire, Magazine and PiL by considerably more than that' Remembering Those We Lost In 2025: David Thomas of #PereUbu buff.ly/JzGyvR9

Might not be an original observation, but the end of Die Hard where the cop learns he can kill again, is not a great redemptive moment.

I could've sworn that this lot now in charge said they were going to address the main concerns about corrupt privatised utilities, the cost of living crisis and the dearth of affordable housing. I don't remember this sickening demonisation of immigrants and refugees being a thing. Fuck all of them.

All this fuss about Torvill and Dean's last performance of Bolero takes me right back to 84. I was only 8 or 9, but I remember this moment of national unity and excitement. The first real such moment, the first time I recall a massive occasion and not giving a shit. And 41 years on, I still don't.

Don't you think the self-censorship here loses all the colour and detail of Liverpool's cultural history? It's Paddy's Wigwam, not "the wigwam". Do you lose more by trying not to offend?
