I don't care if people DM me because I look at the messages and then ignore them. Then the next time I get one, I notice that 99% of the previous unsolicited messages are now marked "deleted account". I get messages from a list server monitor, shows who blocked me. I just laugh at those.

I have a lot of old trees on my property, but this 11’ diameter Western Red Cedar is the king. Estimated at 900+ yrs old. It has survived because this place was homesteaded before the lumber companies moved in. (One pic with 80 lb coonhound for scale)

I have a closed gate that I open when I expect deliveries. Last night, 8:30 PM, Amazon comes, drops at gate. I walked the quarter mile up under a full moon. At gate, flipped on torch and saw 14 pairs of eyes looking back. A WTF moment, then a mama 'possum with a load of kits on board waddled away.

The maple in 2020, after losing the center limb (36" in diameter) in 2020. It created a bowl that collected water and rotted the trunk. Not sure of her fate going forward. For reference that trunk is 10' in diameter. For now the clean up will take weeks. She has a name - it's "The Picnic Tree".

Some of my citiot neighbors complain every single time there's a power outage (like 10-15x a year). Generators are cheap. They run all fucking day on a gal of gas. You can get a 2K power bank on sale for $300. But I guess that doesn't make for content, eh? JOIN THE 21st CENTURY FOR FUCK SAKES.
