Have I been busy! I just joined Spectrum Writers London and did my first in-person meet up this week. What a lovely, determined, insightful bunch of writers. I feel like I blinked and September was over. Time flies when you’re busy.

It’s been a crappy few days. My dad died on Friday night and while I’m relieved that he’s no longer suffering, I’m still very sad. But the arrival of my hardback made me smile!

I haven’t read a lot of Dean Koontz’s books (though Imho Phantoms has one of the best opening scenes of all time), but I did really enjoy the British Fantasy Society's chat with him tonight. He had wisdom to bestow about being a writer, and touching anecdotes about his experiences. Thank you BFS!

As the days are shorter and rainier, I’m enjoying being in cozy nooks reading around the house. The smell of orange and cloves tisanes steam whatever room I’m occupying where words make my brain sparkle like Christmas lights. Tis the season.
