So many of my family members were naturalized US citizens because they went to work in Boston in the 40s and 50s from Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island like thousands of others…You don’t have to look to far back in east coast Canadian family trees to find this same story.

As a person who lives in Beaches East York, when Mayor Chow asks about Danforth Village know that everything Brad Bradford says to her about doing anything about it is a lie. I went to high school with Haley, she is just one more person who is being failed by the NS health care system. To hear that she is thinking of moving to Ontario is heartbreaking because her family is so deeply rooted in Nova Scotia. People shouldn’t have to leave home to get proper health care.

Yup, the useless councillor who is all talk and no action. My garbage cans are in the ward more than he is and at this point they are more useful. The entire stretch of Danforth between Main and Victoria Park has been a construction zone for months, curbing in bike lanes making it more narrow. 🙄🤷‍♂️

I’m so glad he was called out for this because he is letting people down. People in his ward are dealing with unhoused people and addicts harrassing business owners and residents because they aren’t getting the services they need. His office does nothing about it and he is NEVER there.

DOLLY PARTON'S COLESLAW
Preparation time: 10-12 minutes. Serves 10 - 12
1 medium head cabbage, chopped
1 medium onion, chipped
1 carrot, chopped or grated
1/2 bell pepper, finely chipped
1 tsps sugar
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup sweet pickle juice
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 dill pickle, chopped or 1 tbsp pickle relish
1 cup mayonnaise
Mix all ingredients in large bowl. Refrigerate until ready to serve

Our family got quite a bit of money from his foundation when my great-great grandfather died in a boating accident. You can still see pieces of the family home that were paid for with money from the Carnegie Hero Foundation. We have all the correspondence too.
