That must be the problem. Because I’ve had to download it before to type in the boxes and it’s obnoxious. Thanks for the help!

Even if I don’t eat it makes things worse. It’s like we can’t win with IBS!

I’m not open to queries at the moment but I’ll respond individually to any #DVpit submissions I’m interested in seeing. Thanks everyone!! Good luck today!!

It’s like saying you only cheated on one question of a test. Maybe you did, but you lost all credibility. I firmly believe the act of writing a book is more than just the author themselves. Paying other people to help you out strengthens the community.

I keep hearing people say, “but I just used AI for this one thing. Everything else I did myself”. If a person steals from another creator, I stop caring about their work.

Then again it may not be so great for my anxiety or IBS. 😂

Okay but slapping them with a dead salmon doesn’t feel good going down. Maybe I’m wrong though? Maybe it is fun slapping them in the morning. I do think it would wake me up better than coffee.

I was able to fill them out this time but was not able to fill them out before on my PC. IDK why it was giving me issues before.

Can we just not have a universal system for intake information? Every doctor I go to wants all these forms filled out. It’s mostly the same information too. Sometimes it’s the same information worded differently several different times for the same medical professional.

I might be ok this time. Acrobat is allowing me to fill out these forms. Most of the time I get forms that can not be filled out and I have had to download the free trial of acrobat every single time.

Dani Duck (She/They) @daniduck.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I have tried twice now to use my iPad for filling out these forms. Got to the point where I had to write a paragraph. Text was really slow to go on screen. Halfway through it decided it was done and all the text would disappear.

Does anyone know of a good replacement for Adobe Acrobat that’s not a subscription? I occasionally need to fill out forms, and am tired of downloading the acrobat free trials and don’t use it enough to warrant a subscription. I prefer something without AI if possible. Also no online editors. TIA!

It’s so hard to come here. It’s a TON of paperwork and a lot of money. I’m not sure about the process if you come here for protection, but the average person has to spend quite a bit to immigrate. It’s mostly the well off who can come like you said.

Guy on the radio said that there was a complaint about horses ridden by police 💩 in Stanley park. He said the police should clean it up and they should have a police officer following the horse with a huge garbage bag cleaning up the mess. 😂 I mean there aren’t better uses for the police budget.

My cat has been upstairs all day. I finally get a chance to sit down and he’s suddenly on my lap. He ignored me all day. I don’t think he was even downstairs when I sat down. How does he know?

Zero cats were needed in the assembly of this drawer and yet here we are. I put the wheels on the four drawers and he was lying on the bed like this the whole time. Complete trust that I wouldn’t squish him. Once I thought i had bothered him, but no he just needed a quick clean. 😂

Grey striped cat lying on an unmade bed. A large black drawer lies next to him. The cat is unbothered.

It very quickly went from abolish the police to defund the police to reform the police. To this day, "abolish" is apparently too radical for most peoples' sensitive sensibilities.

Maybe “woke” would count too since it used to be a term meant to remind Black people to keep their heads on a swivel and be aware (“Stay woke”) and now it’s being used as discourse slop?

TIL about “Recuperation,” or the watering down, co-opting, and/or commodification of radical movements or ideas. It’s the dilution of movements, phrases, or ideas into silly, everyday sayings, trends, or merch to render them impotent. I guess one example would be, “eat the rich.”

I remember ACAB/abolish the police being explained as something like, “it’s not that we don’t need the police it’s just that we want police reform”. Which is not it at all.

I finally have a watch/fitness tracker again. It has a lot of features but my favorite is the vibration alarm. It wakes me up in the morning and it doesn’t put me into a bad mood like my phone alarm. 10/10 for vibration alarms. Definitely recommend no matter the device.

I like my new pants. They fit well and look nice. Still have to get past the new sensory feels. I feel like if they were an inch shorter I’d like them more but then again there would always be something.

That’s the thing. I want to tell them how I feel about all of this. I told them that besides it being stealing and draining resources Gen AI just doesn’t work well and causes so many problem. I also told them they should be spending the money on social programs if they want to stimulate the economy.

Thanks! I don’t know that it was an injury, but I was constantly aggravating it and it didn’t have time to heal. I honestly thought I had severe arthritis in my hips (thats still a possibility). Hopefully it won’t get that bad again or at least not for a long time.

So I’ve had hip pain for months. Like I’m in tears getting off my couch and sometimes just standing. We recently bought a new couch because the old one was small doe 4 people. It’s a firm couch and our other one was soft. It’s been a few weeks now and the pain is gone. No hip pain. It was the couch!

Canadian arts and culture folks: the federal government has launched a (methodologically flawed) survey on "the Cultural Sector's readiness for Artificial Intelligence". If you're ready to resist or refuse genAI, here's your chance to let them know. pch.research-recherche.ca/f/s.aspx?lan...

Getting rid of most of my old Writer’s Digest books. Most of these I’m not going to read and many of them have outdated information in them anyway. I mean publishing in 1992 is different than it is now. I got most of these as library discards. Still I think I’ll give them to a thrift store.

I didn’t know how much I could fit in my box. Only have the stacks to the right now to deal with. I have a lot of room in my filing box. Didn’t even fill it halfway!

A pile of Manila Envelopes and drawing pads in a drawer.

Clearing out a lot of stuff from my office. This is what’s left of my drawer. It was filled to the brim. Going to move some of these to my portable filling box. Drawer is approximately 32” length, 12” height and 16” width so it’s pretty big. I wish this was the bulk of the work but sadly it’s not.

Large drawer partially filled with folders, papers, envelopes and spiral bound art pads.

What do you mean that all of the notebooks were filled with notes from university classes? WHY DID I KEEP THOSE? There were a few stories here and there but mostly stuff I didn’t want to keep. I may have kept 15 pages out of like 15 notebooks. 😭 Does this count as editing? 🤔

Cleaning out my home office. Possibly going to move rooms, so I'm trying to get rid of a bunch of useless papers I have. I'm not sure how many copies of drawings or any given manuscript I should keep, but I'm pretty sure the answer is less than 10.
