Post someone with wings! 🐉 Here is my green dragon matron Arnkit from my #SongOfTheDevilstorm concept and reference works. Need to do more with her! Must start with her welps as well-they play a big part in the story heh.

Arnkit, full name Arnkit'atla-husfrey'irkir, is the matron of the Forest Flight of the Crulean Crest Tropics, lifemate to Verthrik, mother to four dragons: Smara-kogur, Vred'tiss, Herinn, and Kyrvat. She is a large green dragon standing several human lenghts tall, and has a large green crystal floating above her claws. She is an envoy of the Dragon Nation to the city of Alabandrin.

Bluesky challenge to draw your OC with a sky and blue butterflies to celebrate new waves of arrivals to the platform. Arnkit the green dragon matron sits peacefully on top of a tower overlooking a large human city with a forest and snowcapped mountains in the background. Partly cloudly day with a light blue sky. Challenge accomplished without line phase.

Show us your favorite character designs you've made! My favorite part about working on Hearts of Flame is bringing the characters my husband has created with his writing to life visually

Digital drawing of character concept art for the Dra'khan ambassador, Prince Dio. He is a green anthropomorphic dragon with black/charcoal stripes on his wings, arms, and legs. His claws and horns are the same color. He has bright green eyes and wears a black tunic decorated with black scalemail armor with gold and red details

Digital drawing of a character design for Lord Taloc. He is a red dragon with golden tattoos and gold tipped claws and spines. He also has gold eyes. There is a human figure next to his furthest back foot to show scale.

Digital bust drawing for the character Friend from Hearts of Flame. He is a construct like being made of gold and designed to look like a wolf-bat. The character is upside down, grinning at the viewer

Digital drawing of a character design for Tiamat from Hearts of Flame. She is a red dragon with glowing white horns, eyes, and claws. Her wings are a purple fading into black to show a night sky, and there are what appears to be glowing stars in her wings, as they change color they also change from wings into clouds. There is a blue dot next to her to show her scale in comparison to a planet.

It's ok to go quiet. It's ok to have wild bursts of energy and inspiration followed by downtime to recharge. Don't ever beat yourself up over your energy being cyclical. You are not a machine. Sometimes, you need to eat sheet cake and be sad while taking a chance on a new book to read. All valid♥︎✨️

Taloc (Tay-lock) is a beautiful a** **** He's the antagonist because he doesn't really like humans or demons and wants to see the protagonists fail for his own political gain. He's also an accomplished sanguimancer whose practices are questionable 🤔

Bust drawing of the character Taloc from Hearts of Flame. He's a red dragon with golden tattoos written in Draconic and golden eyes. He is smiling menacingly at something off camera. The background is a dark cave.

Digital drawing reference sheet for the character Taloc from Hearts of Flame. Side view. The character is a red dragon with golden tattoos, eyes, and claws. A human figure comes up to his ankle for size comparison.

Digital drawing of a character design for Walain from Hearts of Flame. The first two images show her true shadow demon form front and back. She has a gray body, black hair, red eyes, two horns, and a tail. Smoke poors off of her skin as she has no true solid form. The third image is of her human disguise she is a woman with dark hair in black robes performing magic.

Show me how you draw / paint women! (Really need to draw more fullbodies at some point, portraits are cool and all but I don't wanna feel samey with the poses lol)

A halfbody semi-lined drawing of a beautiful woman. She has mid length green hair, green eyes with long lashes, and she's wearing a stylish dress that shows a lot of skin (not my character)

A lineless halfbody drawing of a woman with very long brown hair cut evenly at the fringe and sides and the back is held up in a ponytail with a black bow. She has blue(ish) eyes with no pupils, fair skin and is wearing a plain kimono and black sleeveless shirt. She's tilting her head in curiosity at the camera
(not my character)

A halfbody lineless drawing of a princess character looking worried at the camera. She has a silver tiara with a ruby in the middle on her head, very long brown wavy hair brushed back behind her elf-like ears, purple eyes, long lashes and she's wearing a low cut shirt with a red overcoat and white gloves. Two envelopes are floating in the foreground, one with a hear and one with a skull and crossbones. Both envelopes also have fire on top of them
(not my character, she was drawn as part of a DTIYS (Draw This In Your Style) challenge)

lineless bust drawing of a character known as Petunia (my oc). She is fair-skinned, has brown hair that sticks up at the back, rabbit ears, bright orange eyes, glasses with an orange tint on the lenses, and is wearing steampunk attire with a brown top hat

Show me how you draw/paint women! Is it cheating to use dragons? 😅

Digital drawing of Queen Selestria and King Baaz II from Hearts of Flames. Selestria is wearing a bright red dress with black trim, and Baaz is wearing a dark red tunic with black trim. Both are smiling at each other while Selestria sits on her husband's shoulder.

Digital drawing of Selestria in various outfits seen in the comic Hearts of Flame. Her first two are variations of the same outfit. She wears a red dress with black trim and a black belt, one shows her without her crown and the other shows her with it on. The third image is a more formal dress that is black with more flowing sleeves and red accents and a belt, she is wearing her crown.

Digital drawing of a character design for Tiamat one of the Gods of creation in Hearts of Flame. She is a red dragon with glowing white eyes, horns, and claws. Her wings are a purple that fades to black, showing the night sky full of stars, and they slowly morph into shadowy clouds. For size comparison, she stands next to a blue circle, showing the size of the world

Digital drawing for the character Coparus from Hearts of Flame. She is a green adult dragon and a member of the triumvirate in Dracopolis. Her horns, claws, and eyes are a yellow-green color, and her underbelly and inner wings are a paler green. She has blue and brown specks across her scales like that of copper patina.

Gallia considers her family to be the most important people in her life, and in the comic she goes to great lengths to protect them. They are all really close due to the family being social outcasts despite being the royal family of their small country.

Digital drawing of a character design for Gallia from Hearts of Flame. She has dark, almost black red hair and green eyes and is wearing a green dress in both images and summoning blue soulfire in her hand. Both dresses have a light baby blue trim and belt. The second image shows a velvet blue cloak at her shoulder held together by a silver clasp.

Digital drawing of Gallia's parents: Selestria and Baazemuut II. Selestria is a woman with red hair and green eyes wearing a bright red dress with black trim and a black belt. Baaz is a half-demon with black hair/facial hair and brown eyes wearing a dark red tunic with black trim they are both smiling and looking at each other while she sits on his shoulder

Digital drawing of a character design for Gallia's older brother Jarket II he is part demon with wings and small horns, he has black hair and green eyes. The first design has him wearing a gray tunic and dark brown pants with light brown cloth bindings around his feet. The second design is similar, but he is now wearing a brown leather jerkin over his tunic and has dark brown fingerless gloves and matching padded bracers.
