#SeptemberWOrldbuilders I missed this one, but had to add haha! My blood god Arsolvet, MC in book 1, did recreate a food source for a tribe of Daggerspine (big hyena-like quadrupeds with large dorsal spines off vertebrae) to help stabilize them. When the tentacles are red, detach and eat ;) lol

Snail like creature with support tendrils anchored to the cavern wall. There is an attached bowl like structure on one side with blood in it. Front side of the creature is a mass of red and purple tentacles. Function of this creature is to feed populations with its detachable tentacles. When they turn red, they are ready to be pulled off and consumed (most prefer to cook first). They will regenerate like lizard tails with additional blood donations in the basin. Original versions had elongated fangs and grappling claws that were meant for attaching to Arsolvet's great warbeasts skeletal structure and carried into warzones as mobile food sources. Those versions would leech material from the warbeasts digestive tract, which was usually filled with the dead and dying from the battlefield, from all sides.

#SeptemberWorldbuilders I haven't yet, but the main city in a couple of my books is sitting on a massive dock to lakes that empty into oceans, one large cargo tunnel connects two lakes under a mountain. But I did draw a Mer-May thing with one of my main demons from book two #SongOfTheDevilstorm

This is my demon OC with a concept twist in honor of Mer-May, my first entry into this particular event. My demon OC messes with a water temple during May, their month of power, gets caught and is punished by being transformed into a Merfolk of the Orca flavor. This red demon has half of their body magically modified into the black and white body of a male orca (tall thin fin) with a few elements that still marks him as a demon. The scene is in a clear blue ocean near the surface, sunlight streaming down into the darker water.

#Septopolis Ahh, depends on the situation, but mostly it'd be whatever is useful and durable for the day. Medieval-ish, so 'extravagant' is muted by lower general wealth and materials. I need to do more, but here are some character refs from my #SongOfTheDevilstorm

Character reference for P'traltis, love interest of the Song of the Devilstorm's main character in book 2. She is an Ascenris, centaur type creature based on a panther instead of a horse. Minimized feline features in torso and head, though still has a short snout, fangs, ears, and toe beans on all six limbs. Hands are humanoid/cat hybrid, four mobility limbs are more aligned with true panthers. She has flowing red hair against her coal black fur, which also has a skin pattern akin to panthers that can be seen with infrared light. Brilliant amber eyes with flecks of blue/teal. The quad reference shows her in different clothing, from formal dress, cargo setup, casual work, and full plate armor.

Character reference for Arsolvet the blood god in her true physical form, along with three variations of her favorite human form. Her true form stands around nine feet tall. Horned head, four glowing eyes, lip-less mouth of sharp teeth. Her skin is semi-transparent red that appears to move and flow like a pool of thick blood. On her neck, back and shoulders down to her ribs, as well as forearm and foreleg are dark red growths with spikes. Her human form is a red-headed woman standing around five foot eight, green eyes, sun-bronzed skin coloration. The three forms are nude reference, leather travel armor, and formal white dress.

Survived a brutal attack on their caravan over the mountains, saved by a mixed town of farmers. The farmers adopted him and his wife, who soon gave birth to the main character.

Mother to the main character in book 2, and quite a loving and absolutely normal human! Survived a brutal attack on her caravan over the mountains, saved by a mixed town of farmers, and raised her son. She stands in a respectful pose with a dark blue work dress, brown boots and bracers. Red-orange hair with a ponytail over her right shoulder. Her blue eyes are very kind. Her shadow stretches off into the background as a sinister and massive non-descript demonic form with several glowing eyes.

Work in Progress: redoing a piece I did in high school last century with sharpies, and bringing it into the digital age heh. Anger and a deep, unreasonable hatred. Old feelings. I turn off most lights, listen to "sith meditation" dark ambient, and embrace it. I'm particularly happy with the eyes.

#Septopolis For my city of Alabandrin, its purpose was a regional trade hub, cultural melting pot, and more or less neutral territory in the continent were empires can meet. Anyone seen Babylon 5? heh. Ruled by a council of species reps, financed by many, including he Nation of Dragons.

#SeptemberWorldbuilders This world (book 1-2) will have comparable climates to ours. Fantasy setting, so absolutely will have harvest/growth deities/rituals. Each species will have their own, and there will be festivals by various species in the main city hub to celebrate it all. Fried foods? Sure!

Concept art piece. A large orb of blood hovers above the dias in the center of a ruined circular room. Broken stone tablets and iron chains litter the ground around the dias. The room is lit by a couple of wall mounted torches crafted in the shape of some horned horror. The blood orb radiates a dim red light, and the spiked humanoid form of the blood god is barely visible inside.

Zar the smith is a serpent species Qual Dispal. Large creatures, bulky, but can slither-sprint at high speed. No hands but can still do most normal tasks on account of their six tentacles. Two large eyes. No legs. Tentacle arms attach down ribs on the back, but arch forward from the base. Thick foot long neck above top tentacle shoulder. Multiple hearts. Head crested with small horns, back of neck and torso lined single file small horns. Individual muscle groups per tentacle, spread out and attached to frame to large vertebra. Tough scales on dorsal skin, ridged softer plates underside (for movement and sensory). Underbelly chest might resemble what a crab looks like with its six bulges for joins. Reptilian head, short articulated snout (allows for speech with clear limitations on some pronunciations), smells with tongue (no nostrils), breaths through mouth, no teeth (food source usually softened by being crushed and swallowed whole, liquids, or waterlogged to tenderness). History of the species seems to point more towards an aquatic scavenger behavior.

Blood-red lake of corrosive semi-liquid crashes into a town. A wall and hut shatters against it's force, while a soldier's bones fly up in a column of blood. The blood god Arsolvet is in the far background, commanding her war machine, flanked by two spiked spinal column segments snaking through the blood. The sky is blue with a few clouds, storm clouds off to the right. This construct is a biological war machine the blood god constructed to help her subjugate and devour the world. It quickly became more problematic to utilize, but not before many armies and nations were dissolved and consumed by the blood god. This is one of her most haunting memories, now that Arsolvet has, in book 1, developed empathy for mortals. The guilt of this, and many other such instances, had shattered her sanity.

#MythAugust Many have the classic good vs evil, angel vs demon, but clearly big influence with several "Christian" flavors. Egyptian influence as well, which I have always found to be really amazing stuff. So many cultures permeate our society its crazy heh. Such amazing stories!

#AugustWorldbuilders lol I have a 'special' version of Word 2007 that a friend gave me. Still use it because Microsoft cant take that one away from me, and I'll be damned if they want a friggin monthly rate for a simple word processor haha. I have WPS Office (free knockoff) as well, but yeah.

#CartAugust One of my biggest challenges was validating the strange structure of my city heh. I learned how road grades were calculated and then math'd out how many rings my city would need for the raised core to be at a proper height. That was fun! 150ft tall core level with outside gound level.

#AnthropologyAugust Well, dragons ;) They tend to enjoy building vertically with strong base support; pyramids and angular structures. Their main city, second WIP concept piece, they built under a mountain but into the support columns for the rock above. Lots of room to fly! #SongOfTheDevilstorm

Arnkit, full name Arnkit'atla-husfrey'irkir, is the matron dragon of the Forest Flight of the Crulean Crest Tropics, lifemate to Verthrik, mother to four hatchlings: Smara-kogur, Vred'tiss, Herinn, and Kyrvat. She is a large green dragon standing several human lenghts tall, and has a large green crystal floating above her claws. Thicker brown plates run from her forehead down her tail that also supports a large retractable fin like sail that stands a few feed above each plate. She is an envoy of the Dragon Nation to the city of Alabandrin.

Leaders live/work from the core. Dragon Nation emissaries live in the stone of the core too. Here are some WIP

#anthropologyAugust Absolutely some reptilian. Beyond the typical dragon/draconian/lizard species, there is a snake-adjacent species with dorsal tentacles heh. No teeth, as it crushes its prey and consumes fluids. And they are huge. Zar is a smith, and well-liked in the city. And B2 MC's boss lol.

#augustWorldbuilders Magic is represented in a physical dimension no one outside of it can visit, but some can see. It's like a prismatic/kaleidoscope 'shadow' of individual souls, folding and cascading together as their lives progress and influences wax and wane on them.

Bit of advice: beware of labelers, especially "anti-AI" ones. Found an artist victim of one of these who clearly demonstrated their human work. The "labeler" uses AI to... determine AI use. FFS! They aren't legitimate. Who is? These: followed Emoria and ImNoBunnyWhoAreYou! Good peeps!
