I say this all the time at work, I'm like a broken clock. All of the management team (I work in manufacturing, for a company of about 200 people) have made comments to the effect of kids "should look into trades" and I always ask them if they sent THEIR kids to college. They don't love it.

Pratt is an absolute moron, he is days younger than I am, I guarantee his memory of the 80s is basically like mine, some glimpses here and there of '86-87 and then things start to clear up around '88-89 when the operating system comes fully online. By the time I had a concept of "80s" it was over.

This is true, and I don't think it should be that shocking. Even when you are a kid, there are certainly some other kids who are mean because of some home situation, some inner hurt. But there were always some kids who were cruel, who clearly derived glee from others' suffering. They grow up, too.
