When Blessed was rehearsing Peter Pan in Manchester, my mate had to deliver a big rubber crocodile to the company. He was told to deliver the prop to the room. When he walked in, Blessed roared, ‘here comes the fucking crocodile!’ grabbed it, and wrestled it to the floor. What a legend.

I know teachers and nurses who have done access courses as they didn’t have grades from school. Is it this type of thing? That would be a huge loss.

Someone told an American - who repeated it back to me - that Irish dancing came from ‘during colonialism’ people trying to hide when they were dancing in bars - cos the Brits didn’t like it - so they didn’t move their arms incase soldiers were looking through windows. Best laugh i’d had in ages!

Why haven't they mentioned the toxic environmental and psychological conditions we have created? Give us some hard stats instead. It's far too easy to blame it on individual lifestyle choices. Forever chemicals and all sorts of other toxins may be way more damage. We need balanced reporting.

For people of my age (old) and my background (CNR) who grew up in NI during the 90s, Drumcree was the nadir of community relation & differences in our perceptions of ‘rights’. We just could not conceive how a group of snarling, angry men thought their ‘right to march’ surpassed our ‘right to exist’.
