Set up for my 1st go of 'The Plum Island Horror' by @gmtgames.bsky.social . It's a bit complicated and rules-heavy for me, so I'm going to watch a few playthrough videos first, as there are many steps to each turn. I have also backed the expansion on their P500 system. #boardgames #boardgamesky
A high-angle shot shows the board game "The Plum Island Horror" set up on a large, blue-neoprene mat gaming table, ready for play. The central game board depicts a detailed map of Plum Island with various locations, pathways, and illustrations of buildings and natural features. Several small, standee-style game pieces representing characters and monsters are placed across the board.

To the left of the main board, there's a vertical stack of red-backed game tokens in a tray, and below it, two large, horizontally oriented player mats with character information, abilities, etc.

To the right of the main board, a set of three gray card trays holds various game cards with different colored backs, indicating different decks. Below these trays, there's another player mat with character tokens and additional game information.

In the upper center, the game box for "The Plum Island Horror" is visible, featuring evocative artwork of a stormy island scene and grotesque creatures. In the background are shelves filled with numerous other board games, suggesting a dedicated gaming space. The overall lighting is warm, illuminating the game components clearly and highlighting the intricate details of the board and cards.

"Open the Pod Bay doors, Hal." One of my fav films of all time in a board game? YES PLEASE! '2001: A Space Odyssey | The Board Game' by @philwh.bsky.social and @themaestroteam.bsky.social is a 1-against-many game of cat and mouse aboard the Discovery. So cool! #boardgames #boardgamesky
The board game box for "2001: A Space Odyssey" stands upright on a blue textured surface. The black box cover is dominated by a large, fish-eye lens. Reflected within the lens is the glowing red "eye" of the HAL 9000 computer and the faint silhouette of an astronaut. Three white and purple EVA pods float around the lens against a dark, star-filled space background. The bottom of the box lists the designer, Phil Walker-Harding, and the publisher, Maestro Media.

Let's Delve! Set up for a solo run of 'Kinfire Delve Calous' Lab' by @kevinwilson42.bsky.social and @incredibledream.bsky.social, while I wait for a 3D print to finsh so I can start another. Love this game: somehow fun and tactical while easy to learn and quick to play. #boardgames #boardgamesky

Tried out the solo automa (Killbot 3000) for Spooktacular by @level99games.com tonight, and loved it! It's a fairly light game, but a lot of fun. My only issue is that the meeples which you "Devour" are not very coloblind-friendly. But I get by. #boardgames #boardgaming #boardgamesky

On my wishlist for a while, I picked up 'Vale of Eternity' and the 'Artifacts' expansion by @mandoogames-en.bsky.social, locally. I had already printed out a superb organizer for the game. It was on my wishlist for WAY too long, and I've heard it's great! #boardgames #boardgamsky #valeofeternity

Set up for my 1st true-solo (combined deck/class) climb in 'Leviathan Wilds' by @mooncrabgames.bsky.social . I have been looking forward to tabling this multiplayer, but life is busy and coordinating game nights has been difficult lately. Should be a blast though! #boardgames #boardgamesky

The cat on the right, Ziggy, is an orange tabby with a white chest and golden eyes. The word "COMPANION" is written vertically along the left side of the card. In the top section, there is an icon of a purple star with a the game's symbol for the 'Look' action in a circle, and to its right, a grey cube pointing to a red and black symbol in a circle. Below the cats' photo is a text box with the heading "When placed:" with the icon of gaining a Boost Cube next to it. The text reads: "Roll 1 Skill Die; if the result is anything but a Look action, gain a free Look action at your location. They're always staring." A small icon showing two of the game's Boost Cubes is to the left of the text, indicating the cost of this action. At the bottom right corner of the card, the word "PET" is written upside down.

1st thing I did when 'Vantage' arrived, was to 3D print an insert that would allow the optional Player Boards (along with the metal coins and wood tokens) to fit in the box with zero box lift. I was even able to put the unpunched regular coins and token sheet at the bottom! #boardgames #boardgamesky

A top-down shot of a partial 3D-printed board game insert in a blue box, designed for the game 'Vantage'. The insert is light gray with various compartments. At the top, there are four stacks of white game cards, each labeled with a number range (e.g., "803-1029"). Below the cards
and printed insert, the original, unused punchboard holds small, round tokens in orange, light blue, and white. Below this, there are four rows of hexagonal and square-shaped coins for the game in blue, green, and purple, with some white tokens as well. The blue tokens have a symbol resembling a house, the green tokens have a "5" on them, and the purple tokens have "2N" printed on them. Some gray, rectangular pieces are also visible in the bottom left. This photo shows the first step of a multi-part insert.A top-down shot of a 3D-printed board game insert in a blue box, designed for the game 'Vantage'. The top section remains the same as the previous photo, with four stacks of white game cards, each labeled with a number range (e.g., "1694-1789"). To the right of the cards, there's a new, small rectangular compartment holding a stack of black dice. Below the cards, the insert now features four large, light gray rectangular boxes with lids. Each lid has a number range printed on it: "190-399" (top left), "600-802" (top right), "002-189" (bottom left), and "400-599" (bottom right). To the right of these boxes, there's a white holder with several white dice featuring various symbols. Below this holder, a gray 3D printed box holding components can also be seen. In the bottom left, is another 3D printed component box with lid, and same for the bottom of the box, along with some grey card stands.A top-down shot of a fully packed board game box for 'Vantage', with the game box lid standing upright behind it. This is the third and final step of the insert. The white game box is filled with a light gray 3D-printed insert. At the top, four stacks of white game cards are visible, along with a small compartment holding black dice and star-shaped tokens to their right. Below the cards, the main section of the insert is now covered with the rectangular player boards, which have slighlt recessed sections arranged in a 3x3 grid. The middle section is a recplica of one of the character cards from the game, depicting a character with a hat and a backpack is placed on top of the center player board. Below these boards, printed along the bottom edge of the box, a row of six different colored circular tokens are visible, each with a symbol and a word printed beneath it: purple with a snowflake symbol and "MOVE", yellow with a power symbol and "LOOK", orange with a target symbol and "ENGAGE", green with a hand symbol and "HELP", light blue with a grabbing hand and "TAKE", and red with a sword and "OVERPOWER". The player boards fit neatly within the box without exceeding the top lip.

Got 'Kinfire Chonicles' (2ed) by @kevinwilson42.bsky.social et al, and @incredibledream.bsky.social to the table. What an experience! Everything I love about a campaign game without the bloat. And the packaging design, etc. are just next level. Can't wait to continue! #boardgames #boardgamesky
An overhead photo displays the fantasy campaign board game 'Kinfire Chronicles: Night's Fall' set up for play on a vibrant blue gaming table.

In the center, a large, spiral-bound book is open to a map illustrated with winding paths through a forested area. To the left of the map book are various circular game tokens and a smaller boardas well.

On both the left and right sides of the table are player areas, each with illustrated character cards and decks of cards. On the left, a character with a red helmet and armor is visible. On the right, a character in purple and black witch-like attire can be seen.

A black drawstring bag with the "Kinfire" logo sits on the left side. A black remote control rests in the center of the play area. In the background, the game's box lid is visible, holding more components. The overall impression is of a well-produced and high-quality game with many pieces, captured after a recent gaming session.

After playing the two Training Missions for 'Corps of Discovery' by @offthepagegames.bsky.social , I am all set up for the 1st real adventure of the Fauna missions. Of course, I put my back out and can't sit at the table right now, but hopefully by Sunday! #boardgames #boardgamesky

A wide-angle shot from slightly above shows the board game "Corps of Discovery" fully set up on a blue, textured game table. The main player board, centrally located, features various tracks for resources like wood, food, and water, along with spaces for cards depicting different characters and events. To the right of the player board is a large grid of numerous circular, green tokens, representing unexplored territory or resources. In the upper center, a tray holds a variety of colorful cards, for other modules and expansions of the game. Scattered around the table are smaller individual cards, some face-up, revealing character abilities or items. One prominent card in the lower right foreground features the name "LEWIS" and an illustration of two figures. The overall impression is a complex, strategic board game ready for play, with many components spread out for easy access.

Can't wait to dig into 'Corps of Discovery' by @offthepagegames.bsky.social designed by Jay Cormier & Sen-Foong Lim. Such goegeous production, and based off of the 'Manifest Destiny' graphic novels, the artwork is next-level. #boardgames #BoardGameSky 💙🎲 #gaming #manifestdestiny
A board game box for "Corps of Discovery: A Game Set in the World of Manifest Destiny - Ultimate Edition." The dark, illustrated cover depicts a girl with a spear in the foreground, facing right into a shadowy forest. In the background, three men with rifles and another person with a glowing orb float among the trees. The "Ultimate Edition" badge on the front indicates it includes a wooden map board, tokens, and four expansions: Insecta, Vameter, Maldonado, and Fog. Game design credits are given to Matthew Roberts, Jay Cormier & Sen-Foong Lim, and Sebastian Koziner.A clear plastic component tray filled with upgraded wooden tokens for the board game "Corps of Discovery." The tokens are arranged in eight compartments, each containing a different design and color. From left to right, the designs include: jagged grey and black shapes, curved brown and grey shapes resembling wood logs, stacked grey shapes with skull-like designs, green leaf-like shapes, red and grey abstract shapes, intricate blue and purple designs, smooth light blue curved water droplets, and finally, a mix of orange flame-like shapes and red tokens with a white 'B' or heart design. Our son was coming to visit today, so I set up 'Deep Regrets' for a 3p game. It was fantastic, and loved by even my board game-resistant wife. The art is just so good, and the game mechanisms never lose the theme, only enhance it. A rare thing nowadays. #boardgames @tettix.bsky.social #boardgamesky
The board game 'Deep Regrets' is displayed all set up for three players on a specialized gaming table. A large, vibrant playmat with galactic nebula and planet artwork covers the central playing area. Components including the main board sections, various decks of cards, player cards, dice/resource trays (yellow, red, blue, purple), and the white 'Deep Regrets' cloth bag are laid out across the mat. The black-bordered table has recessed sections around the play area.

All set up for my 1st solo go at 'Deep Regrets' by @tettix.bsky.social . Couldn't start it tonight as I am exhausted and the back pain is terrible, but looking forward to jumping into the Briny Deep tomorrow! #boardgames #deepregrets #boardgamesky #sologaming
A top-down shot shows the board game "Deep Regrets" laid out on a colorful, galaxy-themed playmat, ready for a solo game. In the upper left corner, the game box is lying down, displaying the title "DEEP REGRETS" in bold yellow lettering with a stylized fishing trawler illustration, with tentacles rising from the deep.

Arranged on the playmat are various game components. To the left of the box, there's the Port board featuring a stylized image of a rugged individual and various sections for tracking game elements like "MAKE PORT," "PORT HISTORY," "O2," "RUM," "FOOD," and "SUPPLY." Below the player board are three item cards labeled "ROD," "REEL," and "SUPPLY."

In the center of the layout, a grid of nine "Dive Site" cards is arranged in a 3x3 pattern. Each card depicts a different underwater location with Roman numeral indicators from I to III. Above this grid is a smaller card with a yellow header that reads "PRISTINE DEEP."

To the right of the Dive Site cards, there's a red plastic component tray with multiple hexagonal compartments, used for holding tokens or other small game pieces. A few small white cubes are visible within one of the compartments.

Below the Dive Site cards, there's a collection of smaller cards, and the Player Board. This board prominently features a cartoonish fisherman named "FRED," and other reference cards with text and icons related to gameplay.

In the bottom left corner, a small beige drawstring bag with "DEEP REGRETS" printed on it rests next to a "SOLO OCEAN SURVEY" board. The survey board has sections for different days of the week (MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI) and a stack of small Regret cards placed on it. To the right of the Player board is a larger sheet titled "DEEP REGRETS OCEAN SURVEY SMALL FISH," containing columns and rows for tracking different types of fish caught for cataloging.

Look what surfaced from the depths today (Ontario, Canada). I have been awaiting 'Deep Regrets' anxiously, and the amazing @tettix.bsky.social has delivered! I can't wait to see what submerged horrors and oddities I can Dredge up! Hope to table it this week. #deepregrets #boardgames #boardgamesky
A slightly low-angle shot shows the board game "Deep Regrets" standing upright behind its "Lamentable Tentacles" mini-expansion card pack, which is positioned in front and slightly to the right. The "Deep Regrets" game box is tall and rectangular, featuring a textured, aged paper design with printed text. The title "DEEP REGRETS" is prominently displayed in a distressed faux newspaper print, bold font, stacked vertically and slightly angled. Below it, in a smaller, more elegant script, reads "AN UNFORTUNATE FISH...". The background of the box is filled with illegible, faded text, giving it a vintage newspaper feel.

In front of the game box is the "Lamentable Tentacles" mini-expansion card pack. It is a small, vertically oriented package with a black and white illustration of a menacing green octopus or squid with glowing yellow eyes and sharp teeth. The title "DEEP REGRETS" is printed in a smaller, white, distressed font at the top. Below the illustration, in a larger, bold, white font, reads "LAMENTABLE TENTACLES", with "MINI-EXPANSION" printed underneath in a smaller, green font. At the very bottom, in red text, it states "REQUIRES BASE GAME TO PLAY AGE 18 AND UP". The card pack is sealed.

The background is softly blurred but shows a shelf filled with various other board games, suggesting a game collection. The surface below the games is a dark, speckled mat. The lighting is focused on the two game items in the foreground, making them stand out against the blurred background.
