Set up for my 1st go of 'The Plum Island Horror' by @gmtgames.bsky.social . It's a bit complicated and rules-heavy for me, so I'm going to watch a few playthrough videos first, as there are many steps to each turn. I have also backed the expansion on their P500 system. #boardgames #boardgamesky
A high-angle shot shows the board game "The Plum Island Horror" set up on a large, blue-neoprene mat gaming table, ready for play. The central game board depicts a detailed map of Plum Island with various locations, pathways, and illustrations of buildings and natural features. Several small, standee-style game pieces representing characters and monsters are placed across the board.

To the left of the main board, there's a vertical stack of red-backed game tokens in a tray, and below it, two large, horizontally oriented player mats with character information, abilities, etc.

To the right of the main board, a set of three gray card trays holds various game cards with different colored backs, indicating different decks. Below these trays, there's another player mat with character tokens and additional game information.

In the upper center, the game box for "The Plum Island Horror" is visible, featuring evocative artwork of a stormy island scene and grotesque creatures. In the background are shelves filled with numerous other board games, suggesting a dedicated gaming space. The overall lighting is warm, illuminating the game components clearly and highlighting the intricate details of the board and cards.

"Open the Pod Bay doors, Hal." One of my fav films of all time in a board game? YES PLEASE! '2001: A Space Odyssey | The Board Game' by @philwh.bsky.social and @themaestroteam.bsky.social is a 1-against-many game of cat and mouse aboard the Discovery. So cool! #boardgames #boardgamesky
The board game box for "2001: A Space Odyssey" stands upright on a blue textured surface. The black box cover is dominated by a large, fish-eye lens. Reflected within the lens is the glowing red "eye" of the HAL 9000 computer and the faint silhouette of an astronaut. Three white and purple EVA pods float around the lens against a dark, star-filled space background. The bottom of the box lists the designer, Phil Walker-Harding, and the publisher, Maestro Media.

Let's Delve! Set up for a solo run of 'Kinfire Delve Calous' Lab' by @kevinwilson42.bsky.social and @incredibledream.bsky.social, while I wait for a 3D print to finsh so I can start another. Love this game: somehow fun and tactical while easy to learn and quick to play. #boardgames #boardgamesky
The board game 'Kinfire Delve' is set up for a solo game on a textured blue surface. In the background, the game box stands upright. The central play area has cards laid out in a cross pattern. Tried out the solo automa (Killbot 3000) for Spooktacular by @level99games.com tonight, and loved it! It's a fairly light game, but a lot of fun. My only issue is that the meeples which you "Devour" are not very coloblind-friendly. But I get by. #boardgames #boardgaming #boardgamesky
A close-up, angled overhead shot of a solo board game setup for 'Spooktacular' on a gaming table with a bright blue, textured neoprene mat.

In the center is the game board, which has a dark purple and black color scheme, depicting the layout of a spooky location with various rooms and paths. Small, colorful player pieces and cubes are scattered across the board.

The 'Spooktacular' game box is propped up vertically at the far end of the board, serving as a backdrop. To the right of the box, a large, purple, multi-sided die and a red component tray are visible.

In the foreground, arranged below the board, are various game components:

On the left, a player mat for the Killer Car character, with a deck of cards and a large, white-handled magnifying glass resting beside it.

In the center, a black cloth bag with "SPOOKTACULAR" printed in a stylized blue font. Next to it is the automa card for "KILLTRON 3000," which features a vintage poster-style illustration of a blue robot. Four ticket-shaped tokens sit above the bag.

On the right, another player area is set up with four small stacks of cards.

The background is a shelf packed with numerous other board game boxes, indicating a larger collection.

I've set a personal time cap at 2-2.5 hours per session for max enjoyment. I love the fact that it doesn't matter, at least to me, whether I accomplish my missions or goals or destinies, etc. I just like the book I am writing as I play. It's a keeper for me, like a comfy, good book on a rainy day.

It's been a few weeks since I last played it, but I'm all set up for another solo run of 'Moon Colony Bloodbath'. Love this tableau building/destroying game, and the art and card text is great! #boardgames #boardgamesky
A tabletop view of the board game 'Moon Colony Bloodbath' set up for a solo game on a bright blue playmat. On my wishlist for a while, I picked up 'Vale of Eternity' and the 'Artifacts' expansion by @mandoogames-en.bsky.social, locally. I had already printed out a superb organizer for the game. It was on my wishlist for WAY too long, and I've heard it's great! #boardgames #boardgamsky #valeofeternity
The board game "The Vale of Eternity" and its "Artifacts" expansion box are displayed side-by-side on a blue surface. The main game box on the left features artwork of a large, golden and white dragon with antlers, while the smaller expansion box on the right shows a robed figure gazing into a cave. I have to agree with @itomarhernandez.bsky.social here. 'Star Trek: Captain's Chair's May just be the best Star Trek board game ever made. Almost all reviews agree, which is rare enough.
A full tabletop setup for the board game Star Trek: Captain's Chair is ready for a solo session. The game is laid out on a blue, textured play mat, possibly a representation of a star map or outer space.

In the foreground, the main player board is visible, featuring a large character card for Captain Jean-Luc Picard with multiple rows of colored slots, presumably for tracking various stats or resources. To the right of the board, several decks of cards and small, gray plastic trays with suggests a comprehensive and detailed board game experience is about to begin.

Set up for my 1st true-solo (combined deck/class) climb in 'Leviathan Wilds' by @mooncrabgames.bsky.social . I have been looking forward to tabling this multiplayer, but life is busy and coordinating game nights has been difficult lately. Should be a blast though! #boardgames #boardgamesky

A close-up, eye-level shot of a new board game, still in its clear plastic shrink wrap. The game box is rectangular and the cover art features a ripped piece of white paper with torn, jagged edges at the top and bottom. The title, "But Then She Came Back," is written in a rough, shaky, black font that looks like it was drawn with a crayon or charcoal pencil. Below the title, in smaller red lettering, are the words "a solitude by Amabel Holland." In the bottom right corner is a small, red hexagonal logo. The box is sitting on a speckled, light brown countertop.

::Does the new board game arrival dance:: 'LotR: Duel for Middle Earth' is for a Christmas gift (I shop EARLY!), 'The Gang' I have played many times, but wanted my own copy, and 'Moon Bunny (Deluxe)' is a very anticipated preorder. Can't wait to try it out! #boardgames #boardgamesky #lotr

The image shows three board game boxes on a countertop. From left to right:

"The Gang": A small, rectangular box with a dark background and intricate gold-colored designs, including a circular, sun-like pattern with what appear to be astrological symbols and a small compass at the top. The title "THE GANG" is in red and gold lettering. A smaller logo for "KOSMOS" is visible on the side.

"Moon Bunny": A large, square box. The central illustration depicts a large, fluffy, purple-gray bunny sitting on a fantastical landscape with glowing flora under a night sky filled with a large, glowing moon and stars. The title is in both Chinese characters and English, "月兔 (MOON BUNNY)". The artwork has a serene, mystical feel, and there are gold line designs surrounding the central image.

"Lord of the Rings Duel: Middle Earth": A tall, rectangular box featuring a dramatic illustration. On the left is an armored figure with a flowing red cape and a large sword, while on the right is a menacing figure with blue glowing eyes and a staff. The title "LORD OF THE RINGS DUEL: MIDDLE EARTH" is at the top. Below the main art, it says "ONE GAME TO RULE THEM ALL!" and "BY THE CREATORS OF THE BEST-SELLING DUEL +2 MILLIONS COPIES SOLD ALREADY".

A custom 'Vantage' game card titled "Ziggy & Arty." The card features a close-up photo of two cats side by side. The cat on the left, Arty, is a brown tabby with green eyes. The cat on the right, Ziggy, is an orange tabby with a white chest and golden eyes. The word "COMPANION" is written vertically along the left side of the card. In the top section, there is an icon of a purple star with a the game's symbol for the 'Look' action in a circle, and to its right, a grey cube pointing to a red and black symbol in a circle. Below the cats' photo is a text box with the heading "When placed:" with the icon of gaining a Boost Cube next to it. The text reads: "Roll 1 Skill Die; if the result is anything but a Look action, gain a free Look action at your location. They're always staring." A small icon showing two of the game's Boost Cubes is to the left of the text, indicating the cost of this action. At the bottom right corner of the card, the word "PET" is written upside down.

I wanted to share a few thoughts recent discussions around CGE’s decision to partner with JKR for their upcoming @codenamesgame.bsky.social game have prompted. Thankful to those who spoke early to this issue (Marceline, Tiffany, @nopunincluded.com et al) for helping this get the needed attention.

A screen grab of the Upcoming Vehicles page on Kia Canada's website, showing several upcoming models, including the K4 Hatchback, EV4, EV6 and the new PV5 van.
