Christian and Yet Not @cwwilkie.org · 4hGetting started on packing. Little things, things I haven't touched in years, decorations, crap like that. Took down my Writers Wall. I'm not a writer anymore, this inspires nothing. I don't think I'll put it up at the new place. 000

Christian and Yet Not @cwwilkie.org · 03/10/2026Very much enjoyed seeing Søndergård lead the MN Orchestra through White's Tumblebird Contrails, Stefan Jackiw soloing Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5, and Prokofiev's Symphony No. 6. Could not believe the woman who clomped out in heels on hardwood floor, during the PENTATONE recording. 000
Christian and Yet Not @cwwilkie.org · 03/10/2026Not really. I'm still raging through the injustice. I worked to build up this community, caretake this place, and some guy buys the building and kicks us out, two professionals in their 50s, lived here for ten years. The realtor's advice: "Let us know if you'd like to move out sooner." 100
Christian and Yet Not @cwwilkie.org · 03/10/2026Woke up today, sat on the edge of the bed, and realized I'm never going to have a peaceful morning for two months. My first thought will always be, we're getting kicked out of our home. Every single day. 221
Christian and Yet Not @cwwilkie.org · 03/10/2026I tried the paid version, the free version is fine for me. I have little playlists set up to put me to sleep, the routine has become super effective. 110
Christian and Yet Not @cwwilkie.org · 03/10/2026So far, Insight Timer is human-run. I reported a guided meditation that sounded like GenAI, and they acted on it. It does, however, appear to use an AI recommendation system for their human-centered content. 110

Christian and Yet Not @cwwilkie.org · 01/10/2026Losing my home brings other realities sharply into focus. My annual income raises are not commensurate to inflation, and each year my "progress" puts me 17% behind purchasing power. Maybe I have to think about a new job and losing the benefit of remote work. Which limits shopping for a home. 020

Christian and Yet Not @cwwilkie.org · 01/10/2026Update: We have to move out in 60 days. This has been our home for ten years, I've worked to build community here. The buyer wants to be an owner-occupier, and our lease was month-to-month so he declined to renew. I've reached out to negotiate. If nothing else, he gets to meet who he's fucking over. 130
Christian and Yet Not @cwwilkie.org · 30/09/2026Guessing he only sent the note when he confirmed the owner-occupant buyer finally closed on it. 000

Christian and Yet Not @cwwilkie.org · 29/09/2026People have rarely strictly adhered to reason and logic when charting their paths. Maybe there are aspects of the game they really enjoy, but which got drowned in the kvetching. Maybe they compulsively buy games, prioritizing those that are familiar. Gods only know. 010
Christian and Yet Not @cwwilkie.org · 29/09/2026The ambition isn’t new, but making GenAI the interface between the public and gov't information is the latest "innovation." Strikes me less as “we finally unified the federal government’s computer systems” and more as “we put an AI concierge in front of them.” And not a great one.usa.govMaking government services easier to find | USAGovFind government benefits, services, agencies, and information at USA.gov. Christian and Yet Not @cwwilkie.org · 26/09/2026Meh. Someone parked too close to my Vespa, tore through the rain cover to scrape the front hub. I bought a replacement cover, but gods only know how much longer I'll have the scooter at all. If you have to ask whether they left a note, I fear for your safety in public. 000
Christian and Yet Not @cwwilkie.org · 25/09/2026Yeah, this is his last residential property. Our lease is good for at least another year, so nothing can change regardless of who purchases the building. But still. It feels like an end to a good run, just as I was building community here. Have to work faster next time. 010
