A football player says "glad you're here in the USA for football season, Junji Ito. Let me show you how to throw a perfect spiral." The football plater throws the ball. Ito is mesmerized. Spirals appear in his eyes and he sweats profusely. We zoom in on his face in an extreme closeup as the intensity of his terror increases.

1. Easily modifiable margin annotations in tangible space (sticky notes, cut up to fit in the especially thin margins of this DBT workbook) 2. lol @ these being the things that piss people off (valid, but just very unrelatable to me)
Radical Acceptance DBT exercise with some boxes to check off the radically accept: read a controversial story in the newspaper without being judgmental about what has occurred, the next time you get caught in heavy traffic, wait without being critical, watch the world news on television without being critical of what’s happening c listen to a news story or a political commentary on the radio without being judgmental; review an unpleasant event that happened in your life — one that is not too upsetting — and use radical acceptance to remember the event without judging it

I'm increasingly interested in how reverse engineering can be a form of cultural stewardship. Every abandoned instrument, sensor, or HID controller contains knowledge that can disappear long before the hardware itself fails.

Automating Interactivity >> “Artificially” “Intelligent” The hard parts of inventing novel interface hardware are (almost) never the software. The hard parts are the “glue”: drivers, update software, cross-OS compatibility transpiration, weird bytecode from some board.
