I'm four years late to the party but Tunic was a pretty good game. Nice Dark Souls / Zelda combo. Super glad the internet exists because the steps to get the good ending are uh ... both esoteric and pretty tedious. Enjoyed the final boss fight though. Reasonable challenge, not infuriating.

Fascinating find in a museum in Stari Grad, on the island of Hvar in Croatia. This is a clay mold from around 300 BCE, used by Ancient Greeks to make game pieces! Games are truly universal. (Nearby, a clay tablet was found accusing the devs of being lazy.)

I had hoped France would be better about spam phone calls, and it mostly is, but I get a call every single day from an AI voice trying to sell me solar panels. It's so annoying. And it's country-wide. Apparently my parents-in-law have stopped answering their house phone entirely because of this.

I'll watch the occasional video. The talent and inventiveness is impressive! For me though I'd mostly rather listen to a band making music together than one guy doing the whole thing on a decked out guitar. I'm also not a huge fan of complexity-for-complexity's sake players. I'm too basic I guess!

Youtube has given rise to a breed of guitarists who add all kinds of stuff to their guitars to do percussion, play multiple lines at the same time, etc, etc. And it's all very neat and requires a tremendous amount of talent and also I have zero interest in listening to any of it.

I know it's an easy laugh but reminder that we don't need to make fun of Elon Musk's physical appearance, and that doing so reinforces all kinds of negative stereotypes about bodies and their relation to people's worth. We have many better reasons to find him repugnant than what he looks like.

A teen on Reddit was lamenting about the state of the world and options for the future. My response only got 16 views - did it even reach the OP? - but I feel so strongly about it I'll repost it here. I hope this finds anyone who needs to hear it.

Reddit post in r/economy entitled "Im in highschool... i dont see a future" with the text: "It may not happen but I believe in that the economy will crash with everything going on. What are the possible outcomes of this? Is there light at the end kf [sic] the tunnel?"

Answer to the previous post from "TheFargo". It reads:
"Hello friend! It’s understandable to feel this way. Our media environment doesn’t help; things that are shocking or upsetting are promoted in our social media feeds because terror drives “engagement.” To be sure, we’re in a period of transition - political things are happening that I never thought I’d see in my lifetime. I mean I'm sure no company likes being ordered to give away 100+ million dollars, but for eg Visa and Mastercard, they probably made way more money in the fees they illegally charged than that. So it's just a cost of doing biz, not a real deterrent.
