Alzheimer’s disease is non-partisan. Cancer is non-partisan. Diabetes is non-partisan. This is a short-sighted policy that could cost thousands of jobs and set biomedical research progress back by years. Contact your local representatives and urge them to stand against this dangerous policy.

Incredible thread detailing a biochemist's experience as an expert witness. The supplement Prevagen is advertised widely and patients concerned about their memory often ask us if it is effective. TLDR: Most of the effective ingredient can't withstand more than 30 seconds in the stomach. #ENDALZ

Part of my X-odus was due to the adverts and porn. Was getting ads for sex toys and porn randomly appearing in my feed. Couldn’t open it at work safely. Seems inevitable that Bluesky will monetize. I hope they do it better. Please, keep it to a minimum and don’t opt for subscription fees.

One of the best parts of my job is teaching an undergraduate course on the psychology of aging. I LOVE IT! Last year when discussing risk factors, I taught a section on Blue Zones, geographic areas where super-aging is common. The students seemed to like it. Welp, turns out that its just bad data.
