Proper sidewalk for sure. I ride the bike a LOT and often think about how my routes would be different if I still lived in Seattle still.

Okay, it was 36 kms McNulty was in front. But Jorgenson did yeoman's work in those 36 kms. Quinn Simmons also contributed a decent amount and was in the mix all day.

Brandon McNulty of the USA just won a thrilling UCI World Road Race title (he gets to wear the rainbow jersey all year now), but the MVP of the day for the USA goes to Matteo Jorgenson for unselfishly shutting down every chase for the last 50+ kms.

I live in Amsterdam, we ride bikes everywhere. I don't own a car, however we rent one from time to time for holidays. I saw gas today was €2.35.9 per Liter today at my local station, let's do some math. That's $2.74 in dollars per Liter and at 3.785 Liters per Gallon that's $10.37 per gallon.

McLaren channeling their inner Ferrari and absolutely bottling a strategy decision that the announcers were calling out in real time. They pitted Lando as the VSC was obviously ending, had a long stop and dropped Lando from a clear P1 to P5

That's a nope, Werro Hodgkinson then Bol in that order. Femke had that easy stride but never really accelerated the last 200M, it's been a long season for her.

Chris Tobin @ctobin.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Femke Time! The 800M women's season has been incredible this year, Ultimate Championship and all three big racers are starting. Can Femke Bol beat Werro and Hodgkinson? She's not the favorite, but she's got a chance.

anyway, the American id understander himself, Hunter S. Thompson, the next week for goddamn ESPN of all places. the party's over, folks.

We are At War now, according to President Bush, and I take him at his word. He also says this War might last for "a very long time."

Generals and military scholars will tell you that eight or 10 years is actually not such a long time in the span of human history -- which is no doubt true -- but history also tells us that 10 years of martial law and a war-time economy are going to feel like a Lifetime to people who are in their twenties today. The poor bastards of what will forever be known as Generation Z are doomed to be the first generation of Americans who will grow up with a lower standard of living than their parents enjoyed.

That is extremely heavy news, and it will take a while for it to sink in. The 22 babies born in New York City while the World Trade Center burned will never know what they missed. The last half of the 20th century will seem like a wild party for rich kids, compared to what's coming now. The party's over, folks. The time has come for loyal Americans to Sacrifice. ... Sacrifice. ... Sacrifice. That is the new buzz-word in Washington. But what it means is not entirely clear.

If you are a new #F1 fan and missed latching on to a generational talent at his emergence (Alonso, Hamilton, maybe Vettel, Verstappen) then this is your day, Kimi Antonelli is going to be in the mix for the next two decades and he seems like a good kid.

We've reached the apathy portion of the Sounders downfall. I didn't even bother to watch the highlights. I'm on holiday but the apple deal makes it incredibly easy to watch or catch up on and I just can't be bothered. I am still wearing my Sounders hat while riding around the lake though.

The Femke Bol show is about 6 minutes away from this year's conclusion. European Championships, World Record in the 800M for Werro or Hodgkinson (oldest WR in track and field at 43 years) on the line and she's the ultimate wildcard.
