No. Pay creatives their money to do what they do best and stop taking shortcuts with slop. No one wants to read that shit. If you can't afford to pay the costs in 2026 it takes to produce a graphic novel, you're not a publisher, you're broke and you need to pivot to something you can afford to do.

If you want to see indie projects succeed, you have to spearhead the support for them. Talk openly about other people’s work and how much you like it, draw fanart, reshare content about the project, send it to a friend, leave comments on every update, donate money, etc.

Tapas further segregated it's creative community and did nothing to foster talent. Only the immediately successful get recognition, and then are further exploited. Which then begs the question - why would a successful creator even need a service like Tapas?

Trying to farm IP is the stupidest strategy to me. Ideas are a dime a dozen - what matters is the people and the talent and community. You don't get Steven Universe without Rebecca Sugar, and you don't get Rebecca Sugar without Adventure Time, and so on. That's mentorship and opportunity.
