Here's a helpful guide to how I approach planning my comic layouts! #art #arttips #comics #webtoon #storyboards #tutorial

A step-by-step art tutorial.

Text reads:

Comic Page Layout Guide
by Cronaj

Storyboards:
After scripting, I draw storyboards, similar to film/animation. The simple boxes—all the same size and shape—help to work out panel composition first.

Page Thumbnails:
Then I decide on page layout by cropping and editing my storyboard drawings.

Finished Page:
Sometimes, things change from storyboards to thumbnails to finished page!

A poem I wrote some years ago that I feel reflects Izka's heart pretty well... #poetry #OCsky

A poem:

At Times...

At times, I feel my voice is silent,
Words pushed out in bleary pantomime,
Like water dropping from a leaf,
And disappearing quickly as steam.

At times, I feel my voice is ragged,
Too harsh and weak to reach a soul,
And so I cough and writhe and cry,
With nothing to do but clutch my throat.

At times, I feel my voice is muffled,
Far too soft in the world’s deep clamour,
One day my weary whispers will fade,
As all things do when left alone.

At times, I feel my voice is dying,
With no one to listen to my heart’s desires.
My tongue cut out and hung to dry up,
I’m going mute and fear the quiet.

At times, I feel my voice is silent.
I’m deep in space with no air to vibrate,
And so my voice shall disappear,
Into the dark like yesterday.
