#Crolla2026Show As You Like It Love going to the Globe although the wooden seats are hard on the bum! Fun and energetic production of this famous play. Costumes and wigs were so good too.

#Crolla2026Show The Story Trip to the National. Tense story about newspaper stories and how out of hand things can get. Wanted a little more resolution with one strand, but this was great theatre.

#Crolla2026Show Oresteia Absolutely brilliant! Modernised version of the Greek Tragedy. It was long but utterly gripping.

I reviewed Spamalot in the UK with Tim Curry as King Arthur. I wrote that he was the single most charismatic performer I had ever seen onstage. The editor tried to delete 'I had ever seen', thinking I meant that night. Me: No. He is the most charismatic performer I have ever seen. Bar none.

Tim Curry taking a curtain call in Spamalot, dressed as King Arthur, arm in arm with Eric Idle. Unfortunately that dipwad John Cleese is in the background. Into every life a little rain must fall.

Think about Miss Piggy. She lost a best friend and now an ex-lover in matter of 24 hours.

I really cannot think of a greater honor than to have the Muppets say this about you upon your passing

Instagram post from the official Muppets account: Few humans have earned the title of honorary Muppet more than the legendary Tim Curry. As a performer he was unparalleled - witty, charming, unnerving, and deeply funny. We will always consider it one of our greatest treasures to have been part of Long John Silver’s crew. Thank you for everything, Tim.

We’re going to hear about how everyone loved Dolly, and that feels true. But it’s good to remember, and to her credit, that she was attacked for her AIDS activism, her vaccine advocacy, her LGBTQ+ support and even, more recently, for her reading initiatives. She ALWAYS stood firm when it mattered.

#Crolla2026Show #TheatreSky Avenue Q This is a show I’ve wanted to see for a while, so I was extra pleased to get a great ticket for a great price. It’s a lot of fun, adult humour, hugely irreverent and just downright hilarious.

Abigail’s Party Not even the alerts going off every two minutes because ppl hadn’t turned off their phones, could ruin this for me. Brilliant and hilarious production. Tamzin Outhwaite was super as Beverly. #Crolla2026Show

#Crolla2026Show #TheatreSky The Comedy About Spies Despite a 15 min stop when one of the leads suffered an injury, the understudy stepped up and the show maintained its hilarity. Very funny!

#Crolla2026Show #CrAmDram Cyrano de Bergerac An adaptation, but still fairly faithful to the original. Some creditable performances particularly by the lead who really brought the production to life when she appeared.

Playing catch up here How the Other Half Loves An early Ayckbourn play shows him playing with time in a farce. Theme is adultery and is dealt with in a wittier and warmer way than The Truth. I don’t always like how he wrote women but here they all have their moment. #Crolla2026Show #TheatreSky

There a million things wrong with the EHRC guidance, as you all know, but for me the weirdest thing about it all is that its authors don't even seem to be aware of the possibility that someone asked to leave a "single sex" facility might refuse.

#Crolla2026Show #LondonTheatre #TheatreSky Pride So I think I’ve just seen my best show of 2026. This was brilliant. Amazing songs, great plot, superb voices and acting, wonderful characters and it really evoked the 80s. I full on sobbed at the end.

#Crolla2026Show #CrAmDram The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time Second time seeing this play this year. It’s a great show with both sadness and humour. This version used an ensemble of dancers/movers to portray emotions. It generally worked but could be clunky. Great performers tho.

#Crolla2026Show #TheatreSky A Midsummer Night’s Dream Regents Park Open Air Theatre is always a delight and this was beautiful. It was also hilarious and stuffed full of talent. Particularly liked the musicians as the fairies, Olivier Huband as Oberon/Theseus and Georgia Bruce as Puck.

#Crolla2026Show #TheatreSky YES! Back in the room where it happens to see Leslie Odom Jnr in Hamilton. Loved his performance as he’s clearly having fun with the role now. This show is special. From these seats, the whole stage could be seen which was amazing during songs like Satisfied.

#Crolla2026Show #TheatreSky Our Public House Interesting play about a small town/village where no one voted in the last election so they become the target of media interest during a byelection. Cast were all decent, but the switch to singing to tell the stories didn’t always work.
