Dragon's moon :B Inspired by the beautiful full moons this year, and by the recent article about how our Moon was volcanically active during the Cretaceous. Was this visible from Earth? Did dinosaurs take notice? Good thing about being an artist is, you can draw whatever :B

HOME SWEET HOME 🏠♥️🌈🐾 Four Sticker Set, Available now! (Shipped in Jan!)
Me holding one of my sticker designs releasing soon in my shop! Features a heart shaped sticker designed to look like a vintage, wooden framed portrait of two horses holding wheat and a rainbow in between them.Photo of me holding up one of the stickers I designed for my shop! Features a symmetrical illustration of two rosy-cheeked dragons touching foreheads (gayly) while holding up a glowing, rainbow banner. Around them are flame patterns, multicolor dots, hearts, and abstract shapes. Their tails form a heart at the bottom!photo of me holding up a sticker I made, and am putting in my store soon! Features an oval sticker with two longhair cats, an orange tabby (a nod to my childhood cat(s)) and a tuxedo (nod to my partners childhood cat).

Around the two cats are mice toys, hearts, fish toys, yarn, colorful dots, and starbursts. Above them is a decorative red heart with a rainbow inside of it, and under that rainbow is a little white pawprint. Had fun with the detail on these stickers!

This set means a lot to me, seeing others so excited about the designs has really encouraged me. So, thank you! <3Photo of me holding up a sticker of two, blushing, collared dogs in front of their dog-house with a wooden fence and a red roof. Little red hearts, multicolor dots, and checkered patterns decorate the space around them. One of four in this sticker set!

The problem with this article is that the media hasn't been very empathetic here. This isn't a case of "white man kills family" and the photo is him jet skiing. The media has actually been trying pretty hard to shame everyone who is being empathetic to him. The empathy is coming from social media.

Buying from independent artists this season is an incredible thing to do, but please remember that we are not amazon. Most of the time it's just one of us and a label printer and some envelopes dropping stuff off at the local post office and crossing our fingers that it gets there.

I will say this as gentle as possible, if you usually purchase things on Etsy or any other small shop without reading the ToS of purchase and expect everything to arrive as soon as It would be on Amazon, you need a reality check because this is unsustainable

A digital WIP of Pliohippus. It's a mare licking her foal A digital WIP of a few early horses on a size chart. I'm gonna rework Mesohippus heavily, i think. I really don't like how it looks right now. It'll probably have the same colors and details but i'm gonna work on proportions a bit more, and on the posture. Can't quite grasp what's wrong with it right now.

About ancient cemeteries with #dogs, their extension in space and time, what I discovered and wrote in my #book ORIGINS (if you like ancient dogs click on the taplink in my account) #archaeology #art #history #bluesky #pets #egypt #middleeast
On this dark and foggy day, with my soul still broken and disconsolate, I feel the desire to face the passage into the other world of our 4-legged friends. The cemetery of Ashkelon in Israel is often compared to the famous cemetery of Saqqara in Egypt, but in reality there are many interesting differences between the two. Ashkelon, probably a burial of dogs from a large breeding farm, was used for a short period of a few years. These dogs were animals that the Phoenicians traded, and the large common burial was imposed by the Persian rulers of the time to respect the funerary rules dictated by their religious belief, Zoroastrianism.

Saqqara, on the other hand, is a cemetery that was used by the Egyptians for thousands of years, but especially after the advent of the Ptolemaic dynasty in the 4th century BC. During this period, animal burials, especially dogs, increased dramatically. It is estimated that around 8 million dogs were buried at Saqqara, making it a place of great historical and cultural importance.

In my book "ORIGINS - Discovering Ancient Dog Breeds", I explore in detail the histories of these two cemeteries and their significance. This book, available in both paper and electronic format, has been translated into English, Spanish, Italian, French and Russian, allowing an international audience to immerse themselves in these fascinating stories.

Ashkelon and Saqqara are not just burial sites, but veritable treasure troves of history that tell us a lot about the ancient civilizations that created them. In Ashkelon, buried dogs tell us about Phoenician trade and Persian influences, while in Saqqara, the countless dog burials offer us a unique insight into the religious and social practices of the Egyptians during the Ptolemaic dynasty. 1/2If you are passionate about ancient history and are curious to discover how dogs were treated and venerated in different cultures, "ORIGINS - In Search of Ancient Dog Breeds" is the book for you. Through a detailed and engaging analysis, I will take you on a journey through time, to discover a world in which dogs were much more than simple companions: they were symbols of power, spiritual guides and faithful friends.

Do not miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in these readings that combine history, art and love for dogs. Discover how these faithful companions have accompanied humanity through the centuries, leaving an indelible mark on our culture and our lives. 2/2
