Friend of the podcast Erica, who wrote a very poignant book on being a young femme otaku back in the 90s, had her book signings canceled by VERY unprofessional folks. If you're at SDCC, go to her panel! If you're not, you can buy her book via my Bookshop portal here: bookshop.org/shop/AnimeNo...

🏳️‍⚧️ Trans RG RX-78-2 Gundam 2.0 is finally finished!! 🤩 This was a heck of a project 🥹 I’m a bit regretful about adding a glossy topcoat as I think it did something to the pink on one of his shins to remove bits of it 🫤 Overall though? Super-proud! 🩵🤍🩷 #gunpla #ガンプラ

The RG (Real grade) RX-78-2 Gundam 2.0 gunpla model kit from the 1979 anime series Mobile Suit Gundam (機動戦士ガンダム) posed on an action base with pink and blue beam sabers, and painted in the colours of the trans pride flag (pink, blue and white)

Look all I'm saying is GRRM should pivot the books to hard scifi, as a bit ya know? The kingdoms? Ships. Dragons and magic? Rogue code Everyone's in a virtual program until they start waking up from it. Then turn it into heavy space opera.

I was gonna strip this, but I found a hack that saves paint jobs I dislike: The glossiest fucking top coat. Pictures are meh, but this is shinier than mothman's polished ass. I used montana gold's gloss varnish and applied it heavily. Glossy nids = best nids #tyranids #nerdlings #warhammer40k

On the note of The Hobbit, I read it as a kid, shortly after Percy Jackson. Kids aren't stupid. If they need help, assist when needed, but don't limit books based on what you think they can read. You know what helped me become an avid reader? Adults going, "Sure, read it if you want"
