Didn’t Theresa May restrict his access to intelligence when he was foreign secretary, on the grounds that he couldn’t be trusted with it?

Badenoch claims £2,700 a month from the taxpayer to rent a grade II-listed farmhouse with six bedrooms. The property sits within the highest council tax bracket, costing over £4,000 in council tax a year, which the Essex MP also claims on expenses. "Best welfare" is being an MP.

The BBC hate us so much that they only had me on Question Time 38 times and have had Zia Yusuf on 8 times in less than two years, despite the fact that nobody even voted for him. Now that's what I call bias.

It did indeed. It slopes up to the lower escalator landing which is around 3-400mm above street level. This is something that PBS and CNN have reported after seeing a water absorbing ‘sausage’ in the station.

My dad remembers flooding - in the late 1970s from the River Brent, before a flood relief scheme. Oldfield Lane North is probably at a greater risk of flood now due to the drains being blocked and not maintained - which Beavers will not solve.

Sadiq, I support a lot of what you do as Mayor, but this story about the beavers preventing flooding in Greenford Station is simply not true. I lived in Greenford for 28 years and the station never flooded. The ticket hall is above street level. The street never flooded.

We definitely move in different circles… I had a friend who converted to Catholicism as the C of E were too woke for him. Only problem is he Catholic-ed so far to the right that I think he might be a Protestant again… (I’m sticking with being a very lapsed Baptist!)

Clarence Thomas says the 14th Amendment should be read narrowly because it was written for formerly enslaved people. By that logic, the 2nd Amendment was written for muskets, not AR-15s. Funny how that kind of originalism only shows up when it's convenient.

Keir Starmer's response to Nigel Farage at PMQs just now was probably the most powerful and eloquent I have seen him in the Commons. The full answer is worth reading.
“A grieving family have asked us not to respond in the way that the leader of Reform has responded. They've asked us not to. They have lost their son in the most appalling circumstance. They make a simple plea of us as human beings to please not exploit that. That is their plea to us.
“We all need to reflect on those words of Henry's father. My response, and the response of others to be fair, has been focused on the lessons to be learned so we can deliver justice. “His response has been to appeal for rage – rage. That's his response to a father who has lost his son and asked for that not to happen.
“Exploiting this tragedy to create grievance and division would be wrong in any circumstances, but to do it when the family are expressly saying please don't is unforgivable. It shows exactly who he is.”

There's an exceptionalist belief that the UK's immune to the worst political extremes. In reality, we were lucky not to get a fascist government in the 1930s. Now that the world's richest man supports our most extreme political party, we need more than luck. We need to get the money out of politics.

I don’t know what train he’s been on, but knowing you can’t get a train to Gothenburg or Malmö airports, I’ll assume it’s Arlanda and the fast train was the Arlanda Express. Which is £27 for an Adult single.
