Been using the latest version 10 of @recalbox.bsky.social on my Pi500+ and thanks to their inclusion of a 64-bit build of MAME .275, surprisingly good weapons based fighter, Mace - The Dark Age works great and with no O/C required. 👍 Expect more vids like this in future.

E-cigarettes are the modern day dummy
IT IS really strange how things go full circle eventually. When I was growing up I always heard mothers being encouraged not to give their babies dummies.
"Don't get them dependent on them or they will never stop using them" was the cry.
Some mums even went to the extent of dipping them in sugar, or whisky for that matter; anything for the respite from the screaming of a young infant.
Before our children came along my own wife was adamant that no child of ours was having a dummy.
That lasted about three weeks before the reality of sleepless nights took effect.
Now dummies are the next important accessory for many teenagers and adults, only surpassed by the drug of a mobile phone, which I prefer to call electronic cocaine. These dummies are now called vapes.
Yes, you won't go far without the telltale sign of a white cloud of smoke emanating from any public place or open car window. So many people clutching to their dummies.
Still, every cloud, (pun intended) means it's allegedly the healthier option to cigarettes.
Also, I have to say, as a non-smoker, that to walk the streets without the sight of endless soggy dog ends is a real bonus.
If we can go full circle on
dummies then maybe it won't be long before someone designs a shopping trolley for domestic use.
They used to call them prams.
