I see 1Password has made passkeys worse www.1password.community/1password-at... Seemingly this is an attempt to align to the passkey spec, but it is _materially_ worse by user experience. Every time passkeys seem to be gaining adoption, something like this seems to happen.

fun top tip: if there's a feature in Chrome you don't like, and can't figure out how to disable, there's a strong chance it _can_ be disabled with an enterprise policy rule. you can write those policies yourself! chromeenterprise.google/intl/en_uk/p...

one of my favourite “bits” recently was entering a prize draw at a hotel on an industrial estate during an event. I won a night at that hotel. Attended with slightly annoyed wife and enjoyed the buffet breakfast on a random week day.

The spray head is cheap and the output is poor. The head fell off the bottle causing a spillage from very normal use. I hate this spray bottle and curse all involved in this transaction.

finally moved all my zigbee devices to a co-ordinator which can map the connectivity graph around the house and I'm now mad at how it has decided to mesh together what do you MEAN a work lamp in the living room is co-ordinating half the other side of the house

I keep a spare Android around so I know how to use them. Updated to one on Android 17! Very up to date. Pleased to report they're still an absolute hot mess as evidenced by the official Facebook app in the official Play Store having the description of "hacked"

Feature request for all mobile phones: "Enter passcode to place phone call" Emergency services excluded obviously. But: I have contacts in my phone that I haven't spoken to in 15 years, and every Voice Assistant I've ever used has a REAL ENTHUSIASTIC view to placing calls to them

Gaming PC was having some _rather_ bad thermal throttling happening. Installed some new speed-controllable fans, and they can move a colossal amount of air very rapidly.
