Y'all this catfish restaurant provides a complimentary bowl of coleslaw and a basket of hushpuppies at the beginning of the meal. I LOVE slaw. I had like four helpings. This is the dream. All dinner tables should come with community slaw. 🍽️

All the adults in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer are terrible, misogynist, conformity-loving, bullying jerks. Except Mrs. Claus. She just wants her husband to get fat. She rules. EAT, PAPA. EAT.

Beef short ribs were on sale. Never made beef short ribs before. Did the research, braised the short ribs, ate the short ribs. Delicious success! My wife made the mashed potatoes, also delicious as always. Beans were from a can, perfect complement. Iced tea in big cups. 🍽️

2005: The Rising Tied by Fort Minor Current opinions on Linkin Park aside, I was a big fan of them as a teen. A Mike Shinoda hip-hop side project, this features collabs w/ Black Thought, John Legend, Common, & others. It's really well-produced & brings the same emotion that LP did. #MusicSky

2005 listening: Freshman Year by Hop Along, Queen Ansleis This is Frances Quinlan's debut album: lo-fi freak folk that she self-recorded as a teenager in college. I got this album from a friend also as a teenager in college, & it first grabbed my attention from the band name alone. 1/3 #MusicSky

2005 listening: The Protomen by The Protomen A perfect example of not judging an album until you hear it. I did not expect "rock opera about Mega Man" to be something I'd be into, but it totally worked for me. #MusicSky

I can't believe you left out Pizza Tree.

An ornament - a slice of pepperoni pizza standing point-side up as a Christmas tree. Star on top. Sitting on pizza boxes wrapped as presents.

The 2nd album - Horses in the Sky by Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band. Silver Mt. Zion is a side project of post-rock band Godspeed You! Black Emperor. They also play post-rock, but unlike Godspeed, all their songs have vocals. It's a beautiful, deeply emotional album.

So far today, I've listened to two really good albums, both from 2005: The first album was Martha Wainwright's self-titled debut. She's the sister of Rufus and the daughter of Loudon III, and I think I liked it as much or more than any other Wainwright album I've heard. Really nice folk pop!
