Burnout hit *hard*, but I think I’d like to try and bring it back around next month. For those not in the server, Revolution’s end-of-season specialty tournament next month is Pauper, which was almost the format I first made videos for! I’m hoping to have a primer in the next patch review!

Today the US federal regime released a 16 page "counter terrorism strategy" that includes this. Trans pogroms begin in earnest soon. Please save trans lives in any way you can think of. Please.

"In addition to cartels and Islamist terror groups, our national CT activities will also prioritize the rapid identification and neutralization of violent secular political groups whose ideology is anti-American, radically pro-transgender, and anarchist. We will use all the tools constitutionally available to us to map them at home, identify their membership, map their ties to international organizations like Antifa, and use law enforcement tools to cripple them operationally before they can maim or kill the innocent. We will do the same with the state sponsors of such groups and those governments undertaking lethal plots on U.S. soil or against Americans anywhere."

It just dawned on me that this card says “mana spent”, so unlike Mana Drain it’ll count mana that went to additional or alternate costs. Mana Drain a Cyclonic Rift, you get 2 mana back. Mana Sculpt the Rift, though, and you’re raking in 7.

Mana Sculpt
{1}{U}{U}
Instant
Counter target spell. If you control a Wizard, add an amount of {C} equal to the amount of mana spent to cast that spell at the beginning of your next main phase.
The harder a foe strikes, the stronger a Dragonsguard’s defenses become.

I am going to be thinking about this with just about every "enters prepared" creature in this set now, b/c Displacer Kitten just turns any prepared spell into an activated ability (that procs spellslinger triggers at the same time). Displacer Kitten truly does break Magic cards
