The case on my phone is busted so I took it out, and I feel like the reason they replaced the backs on modern smartphones with glass isn't for scratches, its to make them as slippery as possible. The frosted backing of the Galaxy S22 may as well be teflon. I've had to be very careful not to drop it.

Is there an anti-aliasing method that utilizes some kind of "AI" to target sharp edges based on their relative angle to the camera and generate fake multisampling? TAA is blurry and smeary, DLSS is the nuclear option and FXAA barely does anything. This would be one of the few good uses of AI.

As someone who grew up listening to mainly electronic music, in the car or through earbuds on a coby thumb-drive mp3 player, I take headphone recommendation with a grain of salt because I usually don't like open back, or lots of bass. I like the music to sound like it's beamed directly into my brain

I get the feeling the mandalorian and grogu movie is an attempt at stitching an unfinished season 4 into a film. A lot of the CGI in the trailer looks unfinished, and the logo looks like it was Photoshopped at the last minute.

In several years I've still yet to find an alternative to Substance Painter for hand painting 3D models. I tried armor paint and it's awful for hand painting and has a very clunky workflow. All of the alternatives focus on material creation and procedural generation.

Just saw Superman and it was pretty great. Unapologetically comic booky, Superman was a big endearing blue cornball, and Mr. Terriffic spent every frame he was on screen aura farming.

Elio was a lot of fun. Classic Disney style story but heavily inspired by 80s and 90s sci-fi. Flight of the Navigator meets Last Starfighter meets Lilo & Stitch. With tons of classic alien movie references. Shame it's performing so poorly because its the best movie Pixar has put out in years.

I gotta say, even though I'm not an Apple person, the new liquid glass UI is the most visually and technically impressive UI I've ever seen. The way it morphs together seems like they've built the entire interface out of SDFs, and the glass shader is gorgeous. It's very 3D and dimensional.

Someone make it make sense. Every time I download a file from google drive at the luxurious speed of 2Mbps on my 900+Mbps internet, my entire connection to everything else takes a dive and I can't use the internet for anything until it's done downloading. Why is Google the WORST download provider?
