I have been trying for months to attract painted buntings. Some folks in nearby neighborhoods see them fairly frequently and I want in on it! I invested in some hulled white millet, which is not cheap. I think I hear buntings nearby sometimes but so far haven’t seen any. But I have seen roadrunners!
