People imagine picking up and finding *something better* is an easy solution. But how is that supposed to work, when all your time and energy goes to staying alive? You have almost nothing to set aside to actually fight your way out.

You know who we need most when companies overreach and desperately need reminding of their place? People who are already spending their cash on said company. I would love to start a Cancel Your Nitro Membership and Pass Along the Sentiment train. Just cancelled mine. Join me ✨ 🌹

Discord is going to reintroduce Global Age Verification, which restricts teen accounts.
Teens will face several limitations:
- Blocked access to NSFW channels and servers
- Sensitive media automatically blurred in chats and direct messages
- Mandatory message requests for incoming texts
- Restricted speaking access in Stage Channels
To lift these restrictions, unverified adults can confirm their age via one of the following options:
- Credit Card checks via k-ID x Stripe
- Official ID through k-ID
- Selfie
- Google Wallet

If you have a Gmail account, you need to read this. Google's AI now scans your emails and attachments, bank statements, tax files, medical letters, all of it. It turned on by default, and there's a class-action lawsuit over how. Here are 5 moves to shut it off, the switch is hidden in two places:

I do wonder how often there are issues with this system ? But yeah, in the end it would mostly be an issue of "why" rather than "how" to make a change like that from what you're telling me

Méluwu 🏳️‍⚧️ @cornychon.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

(I meant, paper/digital on the TO/judge side)

110

Méluwu 🏳️‍⚧️ @cornychon.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

That does answer to a lot of my questions Is it done with digital or paper DL in MTG ? And (from a (bad) player perspective) I still think it's not the best way to handle decks with different builds possible

Meme with written on it "understandable have a great day"

110

Méluwu 🏳️‍⚧️ @cornychon.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

That's a great question that I would like to ask an MTG judge

000

Méluwu 🏳️‍⚧️ @cornychon.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Never played/judged in MTG competitive events, but I can still think of ways it can go wrong, if you can answer them (maybe not on bluesky) What if the player misplaces their DL ? Modified one of yheir decklist but not the other ? Purposefully modified it to get an edge in games ?

100

Méluwu 🏳️‍⚧️ @cornychon.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

And I can definitely try to list some of the issues I can think of but it may take some time (or if you're in Nîmes this weekend we can have a chat about it)

200

Méluwu 🏳️‍⚧️ @cornychon.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Let's not replace a logistic problem with another logistic problem, digital DL help so much, and how would you handle open DL with paper DL ? Each player keeps a copy of their decklistbon them ? You go to desk before every match to get a copy of your opponent DL ? So many issues can arise from those

100

Méluwu 🏳️‍⚧️ @cornychon.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

As a judge, I don't want for every player to have to spend 5 min on their phones before a match to look at their opponent decklist and the disadvantages there can be if you don't have a phone or issues with it and the logistics issues with this

120

Méluwu 🏳️‍⚧️ @cornychon.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Idk, as an actual Vynnset player, I'm already used to have to guess if my opponent will try to play midrange (which I win easily if I side correctly) or actually knows my hero and will try to play fatigue (which I actively have to think about to win), I feel like it's a question of habit

210

Méluwu 🏳️‍⚧️ @cornychon.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Or, every hero should have more than one "optimised" version to be played competitively, and different versions should be playable in tournaments, so people should think a bit more when siding (pls give me back Lexi and actual double talented heroes)
