Great use of data! How much are wind farms in Scotland being paid to turn off, and how much are we spending on gas to supply electricity in England? www.windfall.scot

Apart from that time Rory left the tap running for a couple of minutes, our local data centre uses very little water, but it does offer exceptionally accurate information and well-written, original literature. It's also free for everyone.
A picture of Worthing Library - it's not very pretty on the outside - concrete was all the rage when it was built, but inside it's a treasure-trove of the imagination and somewhere my boys love to visit

The Blyth Fountain The city of Dundee was once the jute capital of the world. Mrs. Blyth Martin, a member of a prominent Dundee jute family, donated the fountain in 1882 to the town of Newport-on-Tay with the intention of providing clean drinking water to the citizens.

Generally we don't take in many objects, but we'll make exceptions for small items, particularly if they are part of a collection. This medal and dog tag belonged to David Kidd. We are lucky to have some of his letters sent home from France during WW1. #ArchiveObject #Archive30 1/2

Tayport Harbour underneath noctilucent clouds at 2am (not today!) These are not "normal" clouds but are formed of ice crystals in the upper atmosphere around 80km above earth. Not long till we have a chance of seeing them -they can appear from the end of May to the beginning of August- love them!
