Gary Moore in the Point in 2006 (I think!). He was supporting Whitesnake. Half an hour before doors opened word filtered through he wouldn't be playing because of illness. Saw some stand/in replacement band in his place. Not great. Whitesnake were pretty good though to be fair!

Yeah have been followed by a few seals. One launched himself up onto the deck of my kayak off Kinsale once. Hearing them sing inside a cave is one of the eeriest,hypnotic and most wonderful sounds ever. I'm convinced they're the inspiration for the myths of the sirens!

I've had the privilege of being surrounded by basking sharks while out seakayaking. We've tried to keep respectful distance &when they come close we try not to make any rash movements so as not to disturb them. They have swum alongside &under my kayak on a number of occasions & it's just magical.
