Always end your film with the hand to hand fight. Not the boat chase, not the emotional confrontation, not the car crashing through stuff...the fight. You can have an explosion after the fight, but make it quick.

You can really almost hear the rattling of the tack, the crack of the whip, and the squelch of the mud. Wonderful stuff.

Started reading A Tale of Two Cities. My first Dickens. Taking it real slow, rereading passages, and oh no this is really really good. His writing is so sensory and the imagery is wonderful. That opening with the coach on the hill is incredible.

Shocked to look up discussion online for Batman Caped Crusader and see so much negativity around the designs not being comic accurate. Just wild to me. I don’t wanna see the same thing every time. These villains have been adapted ten million ways already; show me something new.

Its not a hot take but man the way the word "content" is used these days. A vile bit of late stage capitalist propaganda, lumping all forms of human creativity and expression into a single wastebin teaching the public to treat all art as disposable.

here's another throwback from 2016 a private poster commission inspired by Moby Dick honestly still really love this one, both the concept and execution i worked on pre-inked scratchboard for this one (so fully black) instead of the usual white claybord that i ink myself 30x40cm

a black and white scratchboard illustration inspired by Mody Dick. It depicts a giant white whale about to collide with a whaling ship. The scene is viewed from a bird's eye view, high above the scene. Seagulls are seen orbiting around the scene. The ship and the whale create waves in the water that reinforce the tension between them.

My local chain-theatre is so fucking bad dog. Ive gone to see movies there and had the digital projector flickering weirdly or playing movies at like 720p

Sure would be nice to live in a bigger city where I could actually see cool rep screenings of old movies. But no,
