I used to have ambitions and goals and now I just try to scrape by each week and i feel so bad about begging for money so often. My only comfort is my addiction

It's really hard to feel like I have any agency to improve my quality of life given the everything. How am I supposed to have any hope of getting out of the minimum wage poverty mines?

was exploring the deep backwoods of Maine on google maps, came across these roads criss-crossing the forests with what looks like these weird tendrils sticking out, is this some logging technique im unfamiliar with?

google maps screenshot showing a straight road through a dense forest, with each side of the road having tons of lines of cleared trees going off the road perpendicularly

Please. Don't forget you exist. Don't let people forget that you exist. Be a poser, dabble in a language you'll never commit to, doodle stick figures and self indulgent fanfic. whatever you're afraid of doing (poorly/wrong), or of not going (correct/well) the effort will remind you that you live

It's so easy to sink into this tiny little ball. You try not to make noise or take up space. You don't bother anyone. You're always considerate and thoughtful. It's a trap, don't suffocate. Don't tell yourself it's ok to not be anything.

Holding your hand. Looking into your eye. It's ok for you to laugh. It's ok for you to not be good or an expert or monetizable at something. If it's fun. That's enough.

I lost touch with the things b that make me happy for awhile. I was able to remember them today and I want to hold onto them better. I got so afraid of being bad at things that I stopped letting myself enjoy them. I got so afraid of falling behind that I never let myself learn.

you should treat a trans person today

"stop using anti transgender language"

instead of "thank you", say "here is $20"
instead of "hey can you grab the door", say "do you want me to send you money"
instead of "have a good day at work", say "here is $20"
instead of "how was your day", say "have $20"
instead of "good morning", say "let me give you money"

People imagine picking up and finding *something better* is an easy solution. But how is that supposed to work, when all your time and energy goes to staying alive? You have almost nothing to set aside to actually fight your way out.

I have tons of trrpg books but I've barely played any of the systems I have and it's difficult not to feel a bit like, I've "failed" due to that

Constellation System @constellationsys.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I feel like I've done nothing meaningful with my life and I just, I don't know how to. I've lived almost thirty years now as a ghost, just drifting by along with the currents I find myself surrounded by. Is it too late to learn to make my own way?

What's a good way to learn how to be a person again after smothering my spirit and strangling my agency for decades?

110

Constellation System @constellationsys.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

I've been smothering myself for so long out of fear I'm afraid I've forgotten how to be a person -- Its hard to say what I feel or like with any confidence because I've doubted and undercut every thought I've had for the last two decades or more

Asked my doctor about being screened for colon cancer because I read its becoming more common among younger people and I am intensely paranoid about anything wrong with my body. Fingers crossed it's nothing and I didn't wait too long and make it terminal

For every tgirl in a glamorous tech job there's a hundred of us working minimum wage at the supermarket and a thousand unemployed. It's rough out there. Be kind to the trans women in your life. Be generous. Nobody's ever asked if they could treat her, before.
