Apparently it’s not warm enough for my feline housemate…. I mean who wouldn’t be getting under a fleecy blanket in a hammock on a day like today? Cats….

Picture is taken from one end of a window hammock. There are bits of an orange and white cat protruding at the edges but she is mostly covered up by the grey fleece blanket that comes with the hammock.

It is extremely sunny in the photograph and I can assure you it is sweltering here….

A lot of heavy and serious subjects making up my feed today. I thought I might share a moment of respite for you to give yourself a break. My cat everyone.

Just quietly enjoying Sunday when this is jabbed through the curtains. The owner is asleep in the window hammock. Cat toe nonsense ensues.

White cat back leg appearing as though disembodied through the curtains. The paw pads are perfectly and daintily pink. This is misleading as the owner usually lands on things with the force of a thousand dying suns!

Around three but definitely no older than 4 I’d say. She runs things here now. One of our rituals is she gets a few treats at bed time whenever that is. This had led to some full and frank exchanges about what constitutes bed time! This is her speaking her truth to power!

Happy New Year lovely phone people. I woke up at 3am sick as a pike which was no fun and not the start to the year I wanted. So Jonesy is in charge today and as you can see she is very proactive.

Three years ago today I adopted this ragamuffin and it remains one of the finest decisions I ever made. I know it’s a cliche but she really did rescue me and not the other way around. Now she runs things, tail in the air and a headful of magic. My Jonesy.

Jonesy is shown an hour after moving in. A little orange and white cat of about 8 months lying sleepily in the middle of a huge bed. A position I might add that she continues to occupy 3 years later.

This is the face of a cat who has realised is too hot to play lure chasing. We tried for five minutes but she’s not the kind of cat to phone it in. She has slunk to the top of the cat tree and flopped huffily down.
