If you are wondering why it is so warm. El Nino has made an area of the ocean greater than the size of the USA an average temperature of 30.5c. This huge bath tub is warming the whole planet up by 0.5c and some places by 1.5-2c.

Write to your federal MP. Let them know that Canadian Medicare is threatened by physician dual practice. Our healthcare system may be broken, but two-tier healthcare will not fix it. 3/3

Let me be clear: we know from evidence in countries around the world that physician dual practice drains resources away from the public system and, in many cases, increases wait times for public patients. This goes directly against the spirit of the Canada Health Act. 1/3

Its meaning is that nature itself, and the very liveability of our entire planet, will be sacrificed for the convenience of oligarchs. It's not about national interest. It's the opposite. Carney lies as fluidly as Trump does, he's just better at it. And "national interest" is his favourite lie. 5/

When he puts public goods on the auction block for foreign investment firms, "national interest" is what you'll be told. As he strips away privacy rights and misframes opposition to genocide as antisemitism even when it comes from news, "national interest" remains the narrative buzzword. 3/

The term "national interest" has no official definition in Canadian law. In practice, it means whatever the hell Mark Carney wants it to mean. It's the umbrella term under which the interests of capital are dishonestly branded in order to ram them down the throats of countless victims. 1/
