We've arrived at the week I've been looking forward to. Spring is in the air and our third album starts to be unveiled this Friday - with a song called Vessels. We're not booking shows right now, but having played thousands of gigs as a drummer, I'm loving just focusing on writing/recording songs!

I won’t bang on about the not drinking, because I don’t have a sanctimonious position on it, except to say I’m getting a lot more done outside of the music, which puts me in a more relaxed state when it’s music time. I do still miss a couple of beers and a whisky chaser when writing lyrics though.

It's great to feel, from the encouraging things that people have said so far, that we have something to live up to on the next album. I’m getting stuck into track 8 of album 3, so it's still flowing. Never complacent. Putting the work in to make each track a belter if we can. I love it.

Please consider leaving dead plants in your garden over the winter, rather than ‘tidying’ them up. It’s an easy way to help wildlife! Hollow stems provide homes for hibernating insects, such as lacewings and ladybirds, and birds will feed on the seeds of teasels, sunflowers and thistles.

Whether it's the neurodiversity or not I don't know but I can be sort of all or nothing about songs and bands. If something catches me just right emotionally and musically, it can be hard to contain my love for it or be in any way cool about it. Often means I don't let in as much music as I could.
