Workout progress going well. I think I'm putting too much focus on number of reps vs actually getting to failure. Tried 20 reps of tricep extensions and was fighting for my life on the last set. So more of that.

Debating getting a set of adjustable dumbbells. They're expensive, but I'd be able to continue making gains at home and it's going to take a really long time to build up to 25lb. I can still only do 5lb for lateral raises.

So it's been about a month since I started lifting with dumbbells just about every day. Lateral raises are the evil. There seems to be a band of muscle that gets stuck in my left shoulder, but I'm carefully trying to push through it. No further joint slippage. Baby muscles starting to develop.

Made baked oatmeal and oh my god it is delicious. You can't even taste the protein powder in it, just oaty banana blueberry deliciousness. Always thought I didn't like oatmeal, turned out it just needed to be the right texture.

I bought a heavier set of dumbbells (8lbs!) Can't do every exercise with them though. And I learned today I can't attempt overhead press if my arms are even remotely tired. Takes all my effort to make sure my shoulder doesn't slide out of joint when bringing arms back down. Which really hurts.
