Also - it is harder to get permission to drive a car than to have and raise a child (or many children) from conception until they are fully independent. How do we learn the skills to do that successfully..?

The epidemiology and evolution of H3N2 canine influenza virus in dogs over 20 years. Lead by @brianrwasik.bsky.social shows that spread is determined by the dog population structure. The virus has not become better at transmitting in dogs after 1000s of transfers. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40040347/

This is a follow-up from a previous study that showed that the polyclonal sera two dogs had two or three antibodies, and two of those antibodies were cloned and characterized at high resolution in this new study. www.nature.com/articles/s42...

Interesting - my great uncle died near Baupame August 29, 1918 and is buried near there. Have been visit the battlefields and his grave a couple of times - looks a lot different from the 1920s.
