An odd thing I noted about my taste in RPG art (this is about taste, so there is no right or wrong being implied - de gustibus non est disputandum!) is that I imprinted on early experiences. I LOVED, and still love, most of the art from B/X, BECMI, AD&D, and most AD&D 2nd edition.

So. By no stretch of the imagination am I a birder. But I'm interested, y'know? If you're into birds and in East Providence, it is a hrck of a day on the East Bay Bike Path between Squantum and Kettle Point. Literally a dozen or so red-shouldered hawks, tons of ospreys, great egrets . . .

Went back out again at dusk to try to see my friends - as you can see, I found them. I'm pretty sure I now count at least 8 distinct individuals. Also, one of them kept sneezing, and it was adorable.

Over the last few days, I've been observing the deer who live in Squantum Woods near the Garden of Flags. I have identified at least 7 distinct individuals - and older male, a younger male, a juvenile male, a large female, two younger female, and a very young female. I love them all.
