Taylor said "we stretch to become flexible" and she said "that's not true". Apparently we sometimes stretch to crack our bones. Let it be known.

I'm listening to the Vibe Check conversation with Taylor Mac, and my kid asks me if Taylor Swift is still alive 😆

It made me think about how they both know how to perform. And that many New Yorkers are suckers for a "we're very different but we're in this together" vibe. 😜

Inter-boro relationships are hard enough, without having to figure out the buy-in of young ones, then transit, then food.

When are we getting that connector, though.

Sulu @codenimm.bsky.social · 20h

For weeks i entertained the hope that i could go to a dinner birthday party in another Boro with my kid on a Friday night. My kid is not that kind of kid. And my bet is that she'll be in bed in an hour.

I am slightly, but also, anyone can be sus.... But now we've had a laugh together and that's a nice outcome.

Lol a restaurant worker just thought i was going to tag his store. I'm just a tired, middle-aged parent, trying to get my kid to decide if she's sitting or leaving while i go grab a thai ice tea. He thought the jump rope handles in my hand was paint.

Chair Velázquez quickly sent a letter to Genovesi, pointing out that she hasn't retained him as counsel (neither for either herself nor for the CC), and thus he must stop representing himself as such and must correct the record. In other words: 📢 KEEP OUR NAMES OUT OF YOUR MOUTH! 😂👏👏👏👏

Your letter to Justice Lewis filed this morning (NYSCEF Doc. No. 12) states that your firm "represents the Respondents." You do not represent me. I have no retained you, authorized you to act for me, or consented to your representation of me, in my official capacity or otherwise.

Nor have I authorized you to appear for the County Committee. As Chair, and as the only sitting officer of the County Committee with party-wide office while the Executive Committee has yet to organize, I have authorized Jason A. Otoño, Esq., Matthew Chechere, Esq., and Margarita Lopez Torres, Esq. to represent the County Committee and me in this proceeding and in related matters.

53 years ago, hip-hop was born at a back-to-school party in the Bronx. Now, the Bronx School of Hip Hop is preparing a new generation of artists to shape what comes next. I sat down with Nas to talk about the past, present, and future of hip-hop in NYC — from the turntables to our classrooms.

There's water coming up through the middle of the intersection at Bedford and Ave I. I biked thru to an appointment, and forgot to call 311 at my destination. Biked back and nothing was happening at the intersection so I reported when I got home.
